Watch out, it is probably a cookie grabber. I saw this scam circulating around the Neopets chat boards. Watch out before you visit.  I guess you're right about that. It's official. I've just been hacked. I logged into today to Neopets and I had zero Neopoints. My bank account was wiped out. I immediately went to change my login word and saw this message there: Hacked by Gen-etix. I swear I have never logged into a fake log-in page, given my login word to anyone or anything even remotely like that. I have been playing Neopets for a year and I have been very careful about things like that. I sincerely do not know how this happened, except if I got nailed by a cookie-grabber like you said. I guess somebody out there doesn't care much for my Neopian Times articles and comics, huh? Happy birthday, Stoneman. Anyway, I reported it to Neopets so everything is going to be okay. My account and my pets are still there and that's what counts. |

Awwwwwww!!! I haven't ever been hacked before, either, and i've been playing neopets for 1 and a half years...... thats too bad! I hope you re-gain all of your neopoints and items. But at least your account wasn't totally taken over, as in having the password changed! |

(check spikka) and never got back in. The scammer changed the password, though I actually wouldn't go back now if I had the chance... I have fallen in love with my new pets, and I have a story up my sleeve on how I got my pets, revolving around the fact that I was hacked long ago... (actually it was more stupidity on my part, but hacked seems to be the word people like to hear, and even though I don't mind about saying that I wasn't very smart back then, just hacked is easier to type) |

So sorry, Stone, that's terrible and pretty scary too.  At least, as you said, all of your pets are still there, and you still have access to your account, and that's the most important thing, but I know it still stinks. You've probably done this already, but of course you should change your password, delete your cookies, and maybe delete your history also... |

I've gotten hacked twice. On two different accounts -.o Well, one was I got frozen for no reason, the other one was hacking.
See, one of my old accounts, it got hacked. When I came home from school sometime last year (in February too... e-e) I found that I had no money whatsoever, and then there were all these trade acceptions. o-O I had lost the semi-good Battledome Weapons I had, but my pets were safe, but the scammer cleared out my bank account... And some of my better items in my SDB.
Well, a few weeks later, I got that account frozen (but I don't want to get it back). I've learned never to give out my password, or trust anyone I don't know really well....

The most freaky mail that I ever got was someone saying that they loved my stories, and then they said that they wanted to marry me. I still shuder every time I think of that mail... LOL! That's awesome, maybe I should start sending proposals to random people. -_-; |

Well, I am not using the fact that I got hacked in it. I am just using the fact that I lost my pets. I am going to make up some story in which I loose all of them, and after that, show how I meet my first pet. I just think that I can use my old account to make a better plot^^ |

I mean, the worst case senior could have been that they took your account and just went around neopets slandering your name.  ;;; T__T So sorry... I'm paranoid about password stuff. Well, I am not using the fact that I got hacked in it. I am just using the fact that I lost my pets. I am going to make up some story in which I loose all of them, and after that, show how I meet my first pet. I've been hacked a zillion times. Only once on teghan62 though... I was really smart. I thought i had a great password, so I told two of my friends about it. x.X;; I lost it for a couple of months, but finally got it back. Another time I lost teghan62 was when I couldn't get the pass back... then my friend found it for me, it was on my other e-mail, one I never use, and she just... found it some how. x.X;; (it was one of those 2 friends I told the pass to, so I think it was the other one that hacked it. I hate her now.  ) |

Yeah-- but the funny thing is they didn't take what really mattered-- my name and my pets. So I was lucky. But I should have changed my password when teghan first brought this up-- I went off to school and didn't do it. Looking back now, I should have done it right away, but I wasn't as concerned as I should have been, obviously.

But I should have changed my password when teghan first brought this up-- I went off to school and didn't do it. Looking back now, I should have done it right away, but I wasn't as concerned as I should have been, obviously. Just think of it as you getting a second chance. The faeries only know I didn't at first... I was depresed because in 6th grade, that stuff was much worse. Though if it happened, I guess that I would probally act worse, and never give up until I re-gained my pets. Don't feel stupid Stoneman. I have done much stupider in my span of time on Neopets that I could slap myself, but I find banging my head on the keyboard much more effective ;D |
