Then again, if it's not in next week's issue, do resubmit it. 4 weeks are way too much for a heldover. I got an entry held over two months ago, then 3 weeks passed and even now, it's still not published. Actually, Blacebrander and my collab was heldover for a little more than 4 weeks, and I had an article heldover for at least a month before publishing.

I've had stuff held over for weeks, and thinking everything fine, I left it alone, then it must have been tossed out, because it wasn't on file anymore, it wasn't 'in the system' anymore. It just.. dissappeared? I'm not sure. I'm just never sure what to do when a lot of time goes by. I'll leave it another week or two, and hope for the best. Thanks. Ame.

If more than 4 or 5 weeks pass, try submitting it again. (Under a slightly different name might give you better chances because the old file won't be put on top of the pile again )

I have a held-over concern myself... I recorded the dates that things happen concerning two entries under the same title, "Roc's Box". Timeline: On 5/3, I submitted a comic titled "Roc's Box" about a Sketch Eyrie. I recieved a "held over" on 5/9. Later, on 5/14, I submitted a different comic titled "Roc's Box" featuring Putterom, my Lutari. Next, I recieved another "held over" Neomail on 5/18. On 5/22, I recieved a "Congratulations" for the Sketch Eyrie comic and it was in the NT on the 25th of May. From my estimate of time, the Lutari comic would have recieved a "congratulations" or "rejected" Neomail by the 31st. From what I read in this Topic, naming my comics with the same title seems like a bad idea, but I'm not sure. I know it's close to the 300th issue, and I already submitted for it. I was really hoping for the Lutari comic to come out beforehand. It's a sequential order kinda thing. It would be nice to be reassured it's still held over. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I've recieved my congratulations notice for my Lutari Comic. YAY! From what I hear, It's going to appear in Droplet's anniversary issue (Issue 296). Happy NT anniversary, Droplet! I'm so giddy to make it to Droplet's special issue... My comic is perfect for something celebrating the NT... It's a joke about comic artists, ha ha!

This is a fairly specific question, but I hope someone has been in a similar situation and has some advice. It's a long story, but here goes. When this year's Altador Cup came out, I wrote a humorous article about possible reasons why Kreludor's team wasn't included ("Kreludor, Kreludor, wherefore art thou, Kreludor"). I finished and submitted it on Monday and got notice that it was held over today, Friday. But here's the problem: on Thursday, an "official" explanation for Kreludor's absence was released, and I'll have to revise a few sections of my article to mesh with this update - nothing major, but without changes, it would be inaccurate. So, here's my question: if I revise and resubmit it, will it still be on held-over status, and if not, is there any way to tweak a few paragraphs while it's still held over?

In this case, you may submit it again revised and notify Droplet about it, either by creating a thread here in staff call or PM'ing her.

You might also want to change your title, since "wherefore" means "why."

Hm, I have a question: is it normal to not get any form of reply for a week? I sent in my comic last Saturday and I still haven't received an acceptance/held over/rejection reply... =/ I'm thinking that this should be pretty normal, so I'm not worrying much about it but I would really appreciate it if someone can confirm this for me Thanks!

Yeah, it's fine. Resend it if you don't get a reply for another week though, 'cause sometimes entries seem to get swallowed up in the system.

Yes it is! Just wait another 1-2 weeks before re-submitting though, if you still don't get a reply The system tends to get cranky >.<
