I'm still on Neopets because -My pets -The Neopian Times -My Friends -Kinda the Battledome oO 1. I'm still on Neopets because of my pets. I love my pets, and I don't ever want to leave 'em or abandon them 2. The Neopian Times is a great motivation for people who don't come to Neopets as often as they usually did. Why? I don't know xX 3. My friends are important to me, and because my other friends... I don't see them too often, except at school. 4. I battle sometimes, but it gets boring after a while... I like testing out new weapons, and beating this guy in my class: Josh x.x

There was time when I quit Neopets and thought it was for real, but then one day I was bored and discovered neohomes... that's how my NT life began, too. My very first article was about neohomes and promoting them... That article kinda sucks, too...

I've found that now that I came here, I've been spending more time here than on Neopets. I still feed my pets and keep them happy, play a few games, and run my guild, but the forum has taken most of my Internet time lately. I always read the Times of course, and I continue to write for it, but I know what you mean....

My very first article was about neohomes and promoting them... That article kinda sucks, too... *nod, nod* Some of you may already know it, but I left Neopets for many many months once, and I came stumbling back to them. I think they're a lot happier now than in the Beginning. And LDF, it's almost the same as me! I err... *love* my pets a lot too, and I love the NT! And palm fans... I don't know what would happen if I couldn't go to Neopets anymore! They're like... REAL... Oh, and I want to tell you guys something. Once, and a random event.. "Something Has Happened", Lapinnie came to me and said, 'I just wanted to say that you are the coolest owner!' *sniffle* I thought she use some other word other than cool, but still! That's so sweet!!

Pets and community. And the games when I'm really bored.
And of course, I love writing and drawing for the NT -- it's just such a low-stress environment.
I start too many websites. Including the ones that have ceased to exist, but not the ones that were never uploaded, my count is probably around...9 now. If you count redesigns, it's over...twenty. Right now, I manage, or try to manage, four related to neopets, and three others that aren't.( And this does not include anything work related.). I'll probably end up compiling 3 of the Neopets ones into Sheep of Doom. And start paying more attention to the others.

I know I have sort of lost instrest in a role playing guild of mine, but I think that's for other reasons.
I know I'm not as into the site as I used to be, but I still like it, mainly for the NT...
*sigh* I wish I could jump start with a lighter.

*sighs* I just got cable a month ago, and I'm having fun making lotsa neopoints. Problem is, what will I ever spend it on? The Neopian Times isn't really fun for me any more. I used to get in every week, stopped for...erm...a year, then I've gotten in the past few weeks. I might stop all over again. Another motivation...my spoiled aisha. ^_^

You can try teh stocks market. At least all that money would be invested there. Or you can get really into the BD and the Nps are sure to disappear in teh HT, or something.

Before my first story was published in the Neopian Times, I was REALLY active on NeoPets. You know, playing almost ALL the games every day, looking at the stock market daily (hourly, sometimes, if I was awake), stuff like that. But then my first story was published, and I stopped playing the games. Nowadays, I even stop getting my freebies! I don't know why ... all I do on NeoPets now is check my NeoMail, post in guild, train my pet. I guess the only motivation I have is : 1. The Neopian Times (of course) 2. The guild I'm in and the friends I have on NeoPets 3. Training my pet I'm not too worried about earning my NP, it seems to automatically increase even though I haven't played games for a month. I don't know why that happens, but I hope it continues happening ;D

My intrest in the site itself isn't at it's peak, but even now I can still get involved in things like the battledome or NeoQuest and the hours sail away.
But without my guilds and the NT, I wonder whether i would still be playing.

I just stumbled onto this topic, and I thought I'd weigh in.
Since I discovered NTWF, my interest in Neopets has also waned. Sure, I play in the site. I have a NS window open on Neopets, and an IE window open here whenever I have the computer on.
But I am here more than there most of the time. The reason? Friends, interaction, NEW STUFF. I have made many friends and participated in a lot of discussions in this forum. I might disagree with some of what I see, but I respect the rights of others to disagree with mine, as well. I can still have a friendly talk and a laugh or two.
Also, being a member here is like seeing behind the curtain of the show, like the "wizard" in the Wizard of Oz. We see how it is done, and it's a nice feeling to know that all of you are no more magical or superhuman than I am, which is not at all.
Even Josh is human, and although he doesn't participate very much in this Forum, he DOES peek in fairly often.
I still enjoy Neopets, but my focus has expanded beyond the games and activities there as much, and more towards the people that make it more enjoyable for the others who visit Neopets.

Once in a while I'll cast around for something that I haven't done yet and then challenge myself to do it. So, I go through periods of being into different things on the site-- NeoQuest (although I wanted to go on to the next difficulty level, I forced myself to quit after beating the easy level because I was seriously addicted), games (when I got a new, faster computer ), neohomes, trading cards, battledome, etc. But if I'm not into any of those things at a particular moment (like right now), I've still go the main things that keep me playing Neopets: my pets, the writing, and the communities (both NTAG and NTWF). I find it hard to believe that I kept an interest in Neopets before I had a guild-- that I spent so much of my time on the site playing games and restocking to try to earn NP rather than interacting with other players (with a few exceptions.) I hadn't really thought to consider it a negative thing that my interest has swung more toward the social aspects (and the writing), both on the site and off, than on the game. The game still interests me, and I'm always curious to see what they'll come up with next (even if it does turn out lame,) but I don't think I'd be enjoying myself quite as much if that's all there was to it.

i go on neopets because i get bored easily.. i'm not much into pets.. although i have pets.. i never role play with them.. or give them personalities.. i think i'm on it just to make money (because in real life i'm more along the line of bankruptcy).. because i like to help people in the chats... and just to talk. and recently because i wanted to get things in the times
