Some really great comics this week! I'll leave most of the reviewing to the rest of you as always, but since you couldn't comment on your own Linnen, I will:

I think this was my favorite of all of yours so far. I've been following the plot, so I've been interested in each comic, but this one not only forwarded the plot, but also had me laughing out loud. Nice work!

Well, this certainly is a special week! Just for that, I promise I'm actually going to review all of the short stories this week. *Gasp!* Yes, that's right! Here's the first batch:

The Story of Boochi by ridergirl333 - This was all right, but the story didn't quite tell me as much of Boochi as I was expectant to learn from it. Also, shouldn't there have been a notice at the end that assured us the author asked Al's permission to use his character in her story? In all, this was quite cute.

Chaotic_Paradox and the Petpet by bluescorchio104 - This was a good read! I completely enjoyed it. It was both funny and entertaining.

From the Case Files of Dark Night: Dark and the Secret Service by 2hot4u181 - I enjoyed this! It was funny and original, and--hey! CHET FLASH!

A Different Faerie by tdyans - Words can't even express how great this was! It was a well-written masterpiece! Awesome work, Tdyans!

The Dung Hero by hippiesoul - This was a great idea! I saw this on another board, but it's nice to see it with all of the pictures, too, which were great as well.

What Were You Thinking? by epk ;D EPK! EPK! I was ecstatic when I realized he got an article in. He told me via neomail the vacation might be permenent...guess not! Hilarious and got me thinking...

Final Math in the Battledome by beatzero3 Didn't really talk about math, did it? Ah well, I learned a TON of stuff about the Battledome.

A Call to Arts by aristaea Good, but couldn't the entire article be translated into one sentence: "There should be an Art Chatroom so I can discuss the art in Neopia." It should've been an editorial question instead.

What's in 69 Million Names and Counting by scriptfox ;D Phew, at first I thought it was a rebuttal but when I realized it was by the same article, I was relieved. Extremely good points. I think that the whole 'thinking of names is impossible!' thing is stupid...and scriptfox proves why. Thanks to him, lots of people will learn how to make names.

Gallery Spotlight: Healthy Competition or Security Threat? by cherriepoof I am an owner of a gallery. The whole purpose is not buying the stuff, but tracking down the items pertaining to the said gallery.

Background Voices of Neopia: The Hairy Tongue Beast by too_kule It's mine so I won't review it...but I'll just say that two more will be made and that's it...I know how most people feel about interview articles.

Neopian Comics by 2hot4u181 Good article. Had a lot, interview and history, but a lot of that stuff is sort of obvious...or at least in my opinion.

A Neopian Web Design Treatise: On Images Very useful info for those planning on making a web page, whether on the site or not. I wouldn't be surprised if I have to flick back here a couple of times while working on my pet's page...if I ever get around to that.

The second half will be put up tomorrow...too sleepy now...

yes, not that the plot is layed out I can go MUCH MUCH faster with it, which is VERY nice.
Hopefully I can finish this little thing up in three comics.

Yeah, I found myself mainly disagreeing with this article, although I guess I can understand the complaint that it's a contest for the rich (but then we have those already-- food and reading clubs, for instance). But there are plenty of themes that wouldn't put you in the poorhouse and creativity does count. Plus, I am sure that the Neopets team will be pretty careful not to put up a gallery with any scams in it. Finally, the tone in the last paragraph ("So, you defenders of this new Spotlight, what do you think now? Not so sure of this new idea, are you?") was just... not really appropriate for an article.

This author shows a lot of promise. The Catacombs needs focus, and she gave it focus. If I could of added anything to the article, I would of added some suggestions for the Catacombs. The Catacombs cannot be a gathering place until people can gather. But plenty of good points were represented in the article.

I myself sometimes would rather blow up all articles of the face of the earth the make a big deal over squat. (But sometimes I have low points and resort to these articles.) But amazingly, this one was well-done. Great points, just like "A Call to Arts." I myself would like to point out to cherriepoof that the entries are
"based on quality, asthetics, originality, and content." Not just asthetics and content. Also, "Newopia?" Catchy. Very catchy.

Congrats. Hairy Tounge Beast is gonna be in my next fictional piece. You made him lovable in a twisted, sick way. Although the article itself was full of fiction, I've done the same. They make great side-reads, and too_kule may be the Fictional Interviewer Supreme soon. (Not yet, noone has claimed that title.)

Although I'm getting a tad annoyed at all the sequel articles in this issue (because I feel like I'm missing something and I'm too lazy to read them over.) who said the articles aren't good? This article covered the most basic but unobvious rules of images. I'd also like to say oddhatter has tempted me to make a good animated background. I'm going to do it. Just watch.

I'm not interested in turkey, and I don't think the rest of Neopia is either. The only part I enjoyed was the intelligent turkeys. I'm personally think sol_lunda_estrella is trying too hard to get published. Careful, it resulted in a burnout for me. But don't worry, I've had bad times too. (Not giving any URLs.) I may be the only one who didn't enjoy this article though, don't get downhearted.

I personally don't see how Quickfights are forgotten, but I can't find a way to show how they are remembered either. I love Quickfights, even though I normally lose, and it'll be nice to see some new faces who just learn about them.

I was going to neomail her with the link to this site, but links can't be sent via neomail. And blabbering about how guilds shouldn't compete in an article about an art forum is just dumb! I don't know if the new chatroom would be flooded with BC ads, because not only are links not aloud but like in the other chat rooms, an off topic post is beat down upon by the serious chatters.

I thought the title was talking about showing your many valuable items was simply asking beggars/scammers to beg/scam which would've turned out to be much more of a promising read...as for that closing line, it would only be appropriate if she knew everyone who loved the Gallery Spotlight would suddenly change their minds...which she can't therefore that line is dumb. Especially after those not-so-good arguments...


But these are just the rants of a little 13 year old...I'll leave the rest to you adults *wink* until tomorrow, when I can get around to finishing my reviews. Ciao!

Do either of those things stop anybody? I don't go to the chat boards much any more because I just got tired of wading through the pointless and often inappropriate messages, so I don't know. I'm sure for the BC advertising, people can now just say, "Vote for my pet in the lupe category. His/her name is ___"
