It's Aishicle's petpet. She just talked it into sitting on her tongue so she could one-up the guys. Ahh, I see now! (Funny note: I had showed this strip to my friends, but most did not understand it. I asked, "Have you lived in Florida all your life?" They nodded. My reply, "That's why you don't get it.") Hehe, I live in Florida (have all my life too).

Hi, I'm new, both to the Times and these fora. But, having read some of the reviews, I'd like a chance to defend myself. My apologies if this isn't the place to do it, feel free to smack me if you like.
No, it shouldn't have been an editorial question, because I don't want an Art chatroom. I severely dislike the Neopets chatrooms. I was originally thinking more along the lines of an "open" guild, that would be like a normal forum, possessed most importantly of an archive, and open to anyone who was interested in art and writing (with strict enforcement of anti-spamming rules).
You're right, until the article was published, I hadn't heard of this place. And that was part of the point I was trying to make. There actually are places to talk about the arts, but they can be difficult to find.
I don't think I was blabbering about competition between guilds, I'm fairly sure that I was trying to provide an explanation for my opinion, which is an important inclusion when one is writing a persuasive piece. If you don't have a reason to think as you do, then why on earth should anyone else listen to you?

"How to Become a Superstar on the Role Playing Chat Board" neopets.com/newnt/index.phtml?section=9199&week=75by stoneman3x Aww...I don't like Role-Play so I can't enjoy this article. I mean, I am constantly forced into Role-Playing that it isn't fun! Today I was Mr. P or something, and before I'm Octopi Food. (The AIM people just attack me with it.) Please, someone who Role-Plays, get over here and review this for me! WHOO HOO! A NON-review! Better than a BAD review, I guess. I also guess epk has been away for longer than I thought. My articles aren't exactly a serious read, so no one has to be "INTO" anything to read them... oh, well.

Really ConfusedWhat a BRILLIANT way to fly a kite! I liked it! Getting Past the SnowagerI liked the last panel a lot. ^_^ Thanks! I think my art is slowly improving on my Really Confused comic series. Anyway, Felabba is the one who is brilliant! When she came to me to collaborate on the "Getting Past the Snowager" comic, my first thought was, "She so darn funny-- what does she need ME for?" It hardly seems fair for me to get half-credit for the comic when she's doing 90% of the work. Maybe my name could be in SMALLER letters...

My apologies if this isn't the place to do it, feel free to smack me if you like. BTW, hi Aristaea. Hope you didn't take too much offense to anything said earlier-- speaking for myself, I didn't mean anything that I might have said personally, and I'd hate to get off on the wrong foot. But then, part of what I like about this place is that we can offer each other constructive criticism (key word "constructive" so do give us a nudge if we don't stick to that)... and we can always defend ourselves too.

Slice of Life I honestly didn't understand this one. Could someone explain it to me? ;_;
It's perfectly fine if not everyone gets this. It's from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I've read all five books of the trilogy (yes, I didn't make that up.) and I've been wanting to make someone say that line for the longest time.
It's the last thing the dolphins say to humanity before they leave the planet before it's bulldozed to make way for an intergalactic highway ;D

I'm personally think sol_lunda_estrella is trying too hard to get published. I was personally very offended by this part of your review. I can take the rest well, but I really think this is totally wrong. I didn't even write that especially for the Times; it was merely a random little sketch I did that I thought I might send in. I wasn't even trying to get published, let alone trying too hard.

From the Case Files of Dark Night: Dark and the Secret Service by 2hot4u181 - I enjoyed this! It was funny and original, and--hey! CHET FLASH! I felt kougra la would be the perfect place to include him! Well, Sometimes it's nice to have a refresher. And this is really an untouched topic. I was surprised it got in. I swear, I wrote this in like, maybe 15 minutes. I coulda hugged Josh when it got in. I don't think I'll get much mail in reply to it, but I want to keep it that way. This was more or less for my own personal enjoyment, but I'm glad other people liked it too.

Here's some of my article reviews; I'm not going to be able to do all of them very soon, so I'll post what I have. I'll do the rest later...I promise!!!!
:(What Were You Thinking? by epk—I thought we were all over with these Meridell Darigan articles…eh…anyway, I disagreed with some of the points. For instance, the previous ownership thing wasn’t backed up well. The orb is inanimate and can’t win freedom; it’s not free and is still being owned. Also, you were saying that everyone who fought for Darigan switched. I didn’t. I was with Darigan from the beginning. Also, there seemed to be a lot of typos and grammatical mistakes in the article. Overall…meh. This article was greatly disappointing compared to some of epk’s articles.
:-/Final Math in the Battledome by beatzero3—This was definitely mistitled, if that’s a word, and I think beatzero should haved named it otherwise. Most of the stuff was also rather obvious, so…meh.
:)A Call to Arts by aristea—I think this was a very good, well-written, well-thought out article.
;DWhat’s in 69 Million Names and Counting? by scriptfox—A really great, good guide; covers more even than the first, which I though was pretty complete!

I think I got in a bit of a pickle with sol_luna_estrella, so let me defend myself.
1) Remember, what I say is what I think, and now that I hear the author's opinion, I stand corrected. From my perspective that it what it what the article looked like and most probably was. But it is wasn't and I feel like an idiot because of that.
2) I know we've had a large amount of M vs. D articles, but I was just so overwhelmed with anger because of the destruction of Meridell I couldn't contain myself. I do admit that has to go down as one of the sloppier articles I've done in a long time.
