It's doubtful they'll let you put an interview with a staff member in the NT anyway simsman.

well, i didn't realy want to "interview" him---i just needed one or two quotes---actually, i don't really, but i think that'd make the article more effective (i have one quote, i just want to ask him one question)

Thanks to everyone for responding about the News Brief. Honestly, I never intended for it to become a cause celebre... I was just looking for suggestions that I could use to make it better. I certainly never imagined that anyone would take the time to write an article about it *blushes*...
Anyhow, simsman24000, I'd be glad to answer your questions (and, for that matter, anyone else's). However, I think it would be better if, rather than including a "straight" interview in yr article, I'd prefer to answer any technical questions that you might have, and then you could use that information to create a fictional interview which put a comical slant on things.

I want him to interview you first, Stoney! *submits the name "Stoneman3x" fo the dozenth time to the "Interview Suggestions" box* LMAO-- and I thought I was the only one doing that! Actually James has contacted me about it, but he is really busy right now, so when things aren't so hectic and he has some spare time, hopefully we will set up a time to do it... that's all I know right now... but he has ASKED for an interview with me, so you don't have to fill up his suggestion box anymore... unless we still need to jog his memory...

Is that Hamtaro?
Yup!
Donna got me a Hamtaro doll for Christmas, and I noticed how its arms weren't long enough to reach its mouth*, which got me to thinking...
if everybody had really short arms, and no one could feed themselves, then, regardless of how much money you had, you would still be reliant on someone else for your daily subsistance.
So, this notion of a society where everyone had to help everyone else in order to survive, kinda seemed to me like some new socialist ideal to me. So that's my theory, that Hamtaro is like the harbinger of some new collectivist paradigm...
Much props to Tom for hooking me up w/ the image!
*Okay, I realize that, on the show, Hamtaro are able to feed themselves. However, if you look at the actual dolls, it would be physiologically impossible for a Hamtaro doll to feed itself.

Technical questions? Well... I was wondering... how does the Stock Market report work? Do you DECIDE which stocks go up or down based on personal whims, or is it actually based on the buying and selling of stocks by Neopets users... I confess, that's the part of the News Brief I only skim over, I don't really focus on it... but I do like the way that it is personalized-- and summed up. Are the projections REAL hints or just for fun?

Nearly all my stocks do well until I buy them, and then they go down...I've often thought that you all must go, "Hey, sol_luna_estrella bought that stock! DOWN!"

Interesting...you know, the doglefox plushie's paws can't reach its mouth either. Unless you scrunch it in a ball or something! >.< It's ok though, I have a brown and white one so they can feed eachother somehow.

Hamtaro are able to feed themselves. There is only one Hamtaro. It's a name, not a species. Hamtaro is a hamster, and the little creatures on the show are hamsters. Oof! *bangs head* I can't believe I just announced that I watch Hamtaro! The show is a bit stupid, but not very. And those little ham-hams are so cute, it makes it all worthwhile! Wheee! Little hamsters, big adventures! Ham-Ham-Hamtaro!
