Aneirin: Why did you stop? Wearing bright colors, I mean. Fairly recently... when the new suit was developed, I requested these colors. I don't really know why. *half-shrug* Perhaps it felt inappropriate to dress brightly when it became likely we were going to war. *he taps on his omni-tool and sends her a picture of himself* This is what the old suit looked like. ((Random aside, I can't remember if I've mentioned this before - but since all of the NPC quarians in Mass Effect use the same recolored model, I headcanon that they actually all have unique suit designs (since it wouldn't make sense for them to make themselves difficult to distinguish from one another) and made up one for Zaal. Here, on the left. Han is on the right, of course, and more or less keeps the canon design because I'm lazy and it's an armored look which suits him pretty well. But I thought Zaal ought to have something slimmer and more civilian-like. I'm not sure whether that picture is intended to be his first or second suit - but I also headcanon that the pink suit and the dark purple suit would be slightly stylistically different and not just a color swap. *thinks way too much about quarian culture and Zaal's personal preferences \o/*)) Aneirin: Ooh! I like it. ... For your clothes in Soulstice, do you want them to be darkly colored? ((Makes sense to me =) I noticed in the recordings of the morning war the Quarians were dressed in the masked space suits they wear normally, so I'm siding with you on the subject. I love the design you came up with.))

What's your favorite color? I am rather fond of the rose color on my previous suit, but you don't need to limit yourself to that. *chuckles* Surprise me. I am sure that whatever you come up with will look wonderful.

Oooh, Koris! These outfits are so CUTE! I can't wait to see you in them!

And, Aneirin - I do trust you, but if you could keep that information private, I would be grateful. I don't know if anyone here would try to use it against me, or my species, but... *half-shrug* It's better to be cautious.

The significance of his desire was not lost on her. She stored Koris’ medical file away, resisting going through it. She looked through the female Quarian outfits, pleased by them. She smiled, thinking about how Koris would react to her not only looking like a Quarian, but dressing as one too. She selected a handful of favorites and sent them to friends, asking for opinions and if anyone would be willing to create them. Simultaneously she looked through the male Quarian clothes, trying to pick something for Koris to wear. This she would create herself. She wondered what she and Koris could talk about next. The trouble with naturals was they were extremely linear, you could only talk to them about one subject at a time, and Aneirin had trouble picking a single subject.Aneirin: Koris, what is Rannoch like?

I do know that it was an arid planet, very warm... very beautiful, if the stories are true. The quarians had massive cities there, and colony worlds across the rest of the system. Ironic, that we were only just beginning to spread across the stars when we were forced to leave entirely.

Aneirin winced, imagining the crowds of Quarians fleeing their homes, venturing out to what surely seemed like their doom. Her lips quivered. There was a mother searching for her child, refusing to leave the planet without them, not realizing the tyro was already dead. Aneirin went through the clothes again and browsed worlds, looking for anything that could be described as “arid”. Moisture content of the air was something she’d never taken into account when world building. Aneirin: Oh... *tries to smile* I asked because I'm trying to figure out what world I can take you too that most closely resembles your native one. You wouldn't happen to have any pictures, would you?

@bettyming This mini-arc is cancelled due to lack of time for Bettyming. : *looks up at Min* How did it go? Min: Alarming. Maybe good, maybe bad. If this body gets damaged, I only have to rematerialize to fix it. Rey vanished. Min quickly scanned for signs of teleporting, and left after finding none. Abandoning the current investigation, she searched the city for signs of the human.

A lot of records were destroyed in the aftermath of the war, or during it. *He looks through his files a little more, eventually selecting a few images of the planet surface to send to Aneirin.* I'm not sure if they're recreations or accurate, but... *he shakes his head a little* Though please, if it's too much work, you don't need to go to so much trouble on my account. Believe me, I would love to walk on a planet's surface the way our ancestors did, but no matter how like Rannoch this experience is... it'll be more than I ever thought possible, to be without the suit and experiencing life the way synthetics do. *There's an affectionate sound to his voice, and he tilts his head a little* You're very kind.

She blushed and smiled at Koris, wishing she could see his face. Imagining his expression using the scans she took earlier was not as satisfying as she thought it would be when she took the scans. Aneirin: You’re very kind too. It’s really no trouble for me. It doesn’t take long to run through each sector looking for a world that matches the picture you sent me, and I’m using twenty of my thoughts for the search. I should be done in an estimated time of 15 minutes, assuming only the last result is a match. She wondered how so many of the Quarians’ records could have been lost. Even if the Geth gained control over the machines that held the records, the Quarians surely taught their young the history of their people. And they would all know what the planet was like, having been there. They could create new records. Did they neglect to do so because they believed they would return to the planet within their own lifetime? That meant the rest of their lives and their children’s lives and maybe their children’s children’s lives were spent preparing for war. Reflecting on this, and despite her desire to visit a Quarian ship, Aneirin felt relieved the Quarian fleet wasn’t in the area. That caused her to feel sad, because Koris missed his people, and guilty because he had just told her she was nice.

Thank you. *Something seems to occur to him, and he laughs ruefully.* ...it's a shame, because I doubt either Han or your people would ever trust each other enough to allow him this experience. I have to wonder if seeing your people in their own world would... well, no, I suppose it wouldn't change his mind. He's too angry, too bitter after all this time. But maybe it would open his mind, just a little. *quickly shakes his head* ...Ah, don't mind me. Believe me, I am not suggesting you invite him.
