Min: Okay. Friendly. *starts marching stiffly toward the arcade* : ...*follows Min, trying to stay a good distance behind her* Min entered the arcade, The other Patroler greeted her enthusiastically, giving a quick talk before teleporting out. Min stood in the arcade, look very confused.Aneirin: Hehe. Only you would have been surprised by the nomination. Gerrel must be pretty brave, the life in the military sounds scary to me. ...I suppose he is, in his own way. I've never been drawn to military life, either. There are other ways I can protect my people... or, at least, I try to. Aneirin: *sighs* ... Koris? Have you ever done something dishonest to protect someone?

She thinks I'm her replacement and left me in charge. So I guess we have until the real replacement arrives to investigate the digital caps. Aneirin: *sighs* ... Koris? Have you ever done something dishonest to protect someone? ... *slowly* Yes. Yes, I suppose I have... Why do you ask? Aneirin: Well... I have this friend... she has a really difficult time being around people. Sometimes I lie to protect her. But sometimes when I try protecting her, I hurt other people who mean a lot to me. I just... is there a better way? What would you do?

I've... done some things I am not entirely proud of in the service of my fleet, but I would make the same decisions again if I had to. Because their well-being has to be my priority, no matter what.

Aneirin: Any you're willing to talk about? *hesitates* Han was... right, when he said that I used Rael's death for my own ends. I put him and his daughter on trial when I was well aware that he was likely already dead. But I could not allow his cruel experiments to be swept under the table, and I thought I finally had my chance to turn public opinion against one of the strongest proponents for war against the geth. *shakes head* At the time, I did not know that Tali had been unaware of his actions. But she would have been exiled if Shepard had not intervened. I... perhaps I went too far, involving her... but I did it to protect my fleet.

Exiles are sent away from the fleet, but they are not left any more vulnerable than our pilgrims. Even so... it is a grave dishonor, to be cut off from the rest of the quarian race, to be stripped of one's ship-name...

Do exiles usually die of sadness?

For listening. I haven't... really had the chance to talk about the trial since it happened. And I doubt Han would be willing to hear me out anyway.

And talking about the things that trouble us helps sooth the soul. At least, that's what I've heard.
