Glyph: *watches Roll run off to make dinner* .oO(Start dinner now? What is she making?!) Uh, I'd like to talk to you as well, Dr. Light. ---- ((Thank you )) r#robot: Do we have any Arena fighters? You never know in a group so large. r#robot: Yeah, I don't know who half of everyone is. r#robot: *giggles* You only know half of me? r#robot: You know what I meant! r#robot: I think there's one or two. r#robot: I can't be the only one here who's only just met everyone in this room... r#robot: No, we've met before! One week my Home visited your Home, and I saw you in the hall! r#robot: I don't remember that... r#robot: Well, er, it wasn't a big event or anything. And I've got a really good memory for faces. r#robot: *taps her lips* There was something different about that fight. r#robot: Different from what? An Arena fight? r#robot: It was waaay different from an Arena fight. No crowds, no stadium, went really fast, death of one combatant, and a lack of theatrics. r#robot: It was a display of pure skill. r#robot: Yes, all of that, but something more... I think the bug robot might have been Maverick. It would explain the fight, I think... r#robot: Huh. r#robot: Let's ask! r#robot: Let's not bother the- r#robot: *to the guards* Was the bug robot a Maverick?! Would now be a good time? ... ... I'll need some time alone, Rock. ... ----- Guard6: Yyyyup. Guard9: I would say so. Guard4: Gotta be. ((Would you mind putting some more priority on this RP? Please?)) Glyph: *smiles* Sure. I won't keep your dad too long, kiddo. ---- r.robot: So the robot that killed it was a Maverick Hunter? r.robot: Can you fight like that? ((Just wanted to keep them evenly paced in time so there would be no distortions...))

Her group seemed exceptionally quiet to her; the first few hours in the Maverick Hunter-provided quarters they had remained completely still, afraid to move at all without permission. Now that the fight-types and heavy-duties had left the mood had returned in full force. Each girl stared resolutely at the floor. Each, besides Vice.

The rodent scurried around next to Vice, never entering an area where a Maverick Hunter could spot it. But the sounds of its movement caused the girl next to Vice to look over at her. She saw the animal and shrieked, startling Vice and causing the imagined animal to jump straight up in the air.

They would probably react with suspicion, and maybe fear. They might seclude her away from the others because her creations had the potential to be dangerous. They might think she was crazy if she told them she always saw things. They might not understand what a passive ability was, or why she had no control over the things she did not intentionally create. Her fear overcame her guilt, and she decided to not tell them. Turning on her cot to get down, she announced she would help them look for the mouse. As she put her feet on the ground a gigantic spider-creature leapt out from under the cot. Startled, she shrieked, and in her instant of believing in the vision Vice's neighbor saw it too, and the girl screamed again. The spider-beast, sensing it now had existence and power, celebrated by shooting sticky eggs into the air from its abdomen.

Dr. Light, I would love to help you, but there are a few requests I must make first. ... I'm afraid that wouldn't be enough to prove that you were qualified. I needed to know that you would provide accurate information for my species. Even if you were an expert on a related species, there could still be enough differences to throw off the accuracy of information. But we can discuss this later. What are your requests? The girl's face grew redder.robot: We're not.. supposed to look at you without your permission. Guard9: Here it's kind of assumed that you have permission. In fact, it's generally considered rude to look away from someone when talking to them. Guard6: How do you keep from bumping into people without looking at them? Vice fell back, gaping at the Hunter. The spider-beast was cleanly split, and before vanishing it wavered like a mirage. A slight headache came over Vice, but dissipated faster then the spider. Hunter8: *staring at where the spider used to be* ... Very weird. Hunter3: *gets on his radio and starts to report the strange occurrence* Hunter7: *glancing around the room* Did anybody see where the eggs went? (( Omni Interesting. The difference between this time and the instances during which it has worked has been noted. For this post, did you receive notification of both the quote and the tag?)) Glyph: *strangled, snorting noise* That was a joke, doctor. But not the requests part. *pause* Dr. Light, I request that you please be gentle with me. You didn't build me and I didn't build you, so we're both out of our normal environment when we work together. I'm sorry that sometimes I'm difficult, but sometimes you are too. ---- r.robots: *giggle* The 'speaker' robot looked up at the Maverick Hunters. Most other robots in the room did too. Her head bobbed down suddenly after she made eye contact with a Reploid.robot: ... It's usually okay to look at a man's feet. Anything below the knees is acceptable, I guess. It's just looking at a guy's face that can get you in trouble. She looked up again. Most other robots' heads bobbed up and down in jerky movements. One robot stared at her feet, watching the other robots out of her peripheral vision. She spoke, her voice as waving as the Sermekan robots' heads as they tried to keep eye contact with a male.s.robot: I don't want to be rude, but I can't look at you. I'm scared. --- Vice looked around the room with the other girls, letting someone else report the eggs on the ceiling and declining to mention the new vision that had replaced the spider in her eyes. She was grateful that the things she saw were usually unusual. If whatever part of her produced the visions were clever she'd make the mistake of believing in them more often.
