Check the "data" folder in the game's directory, and there should be a file there called "font1.bmp". If there isn't, maybe the ZIP file didn't unpack all the way. If the file is there, but the game still won't recognize it, make sure the EXE is in the folder directly above the "data" folder. If it is and it still won't work, perhaps there's something fishy with the file detection system on older operating systems... What folders? It didn't unpack any folders... in fact, there is no directory. I thought that the ammount of files that unpacked seemed a little low... So uhhh, what do I do now? EDIT: I used that download link on the previous page, and it did have the directory and everything this time. XD Weird.

After the coloured switchpad thing that Calin guides you through to open the door... if you go back through said door, Ikkin gets stuck inside a torch. XD | V and when I try to start a new game now, this happens: leaving me unable to do anything... EDIT: Okay, so I had to delete and unpack it again for it to work... then I ran into that twin Calin bug, and it froze my game. XD

Amni - There's no particular order that you have to do the code for the grotto. Just swing away and viola. ^_^ I can fix the barrel and inn glitches, yah. =3 And the spacebar glitch with the teacher. (Ikkin ran into that once when she was playing, actually, but we couldn't figure out how exactly it happened.) The barn is currently under construction. Sorry about that. xD; The E1 cave has mounds of fire dust in it that are needed for a quest. The E2 cave is currently a semi-secret cave that I have not added content for - therefore it doesn't work. The arrows are suppoed to be hidden behind trees. x3 After the coloured switchpad thing that Calin guides you through to open the door... if you go back through said door, Ikkin gets stuck inside a torch. XD | V and when I try to start a new game now, this happens: leaving me unable to do anything... First bug can be fixed easily. As for that second one... Does it happen even when you close the game down and reopen it? o.o EDIT: I should mention to everything that once i've fixed enough bugs to warrent an update, I can upload the EXE file by itself so that you don't have to download all of the other migs and megs of content. xD; The EXE file on its own is a mere 4-5 megs.

Noticement upon looking at Killix's torch bug screenie: are all the menu options supposed to become available at some point in that tutorial level thing? 'Cause the only one that's ever opened up for me is the inventory (meaning I've been unable to save).

XD Weird. xD; Based on the screenshot you gave me, it would seem that Ikkin's coordinates from your previous game were being carried over every time you started a new game, causing her to get balled up in the corner. The thing is, though, that when a new game begins, I have it reset the coordinates. o.o If you want to try it again, I have a few ideas: 1. Recreate the bug, but then start a new game on a different file slot than before. 2. Take a look inside the savedgames folder in FQ's directory and see if the game created a file somehow after the bug took place. If either of the above cases prove to be true, then perhaps it's creating a save file when it shouldn't yet.

As for saving, there are special save points in the game world that you stand on in order to save your game. At the moment, it's not done through the menu, but I have been thinking about including a "save anytime, anywhere" option to make debugging easier.

I started again to attempt to recreate the bug... when I ran into a bug right away.
After picking up the apple, I can't open my inventory. DX
*cries* bugs... so many bugs.

Did you try opening your inventory? Sometimes it ghosts out, but you can still click on it or press I to open it. I've tried to make it white like it should be, but it doesn't want to stay that way all the time. D:

I even spammed the keyboard in vain, and nothing happened. XD Hmmm, the little yellow arrow seems to voip itself around depending on which barrel you break last, too. If you break the bottom-most barrel last, it is fine, though.

I'm playing through that part as we speak, and I notice the arrow too. xD Also, I should mention that if you need to start the game over again, pressing Esc will skip the first scene where you learn how to walk.

XD The screen shakes from when Calin bursts into the room, but nothing happens. Okay, used ESC, and it warped me past that part... but when I got to the part with the apple, my menu options never appeared. They were all greyed out. File slot 2 acts completely normal. There's no save file in the folder. =/

Maybe the data from the previous game is failing to properly erase itself or something... What operating system are you using?

The menu, skill and inventory options keep disappearing all over the place for no reason. It's crazy. ... why do I randomly have the fruit core in my inventory? Why does this game hate me? XD I can't get past that one part because Calin's clone crashes my game every time. T_T Hmm, the menu options definitely should be appearing... and i'm still scratching my head over that intro bug, since she appears in the bottom left corner. At the moment, it's not done through the menu, but I have been thinking about including a "save anytime, anywhere" option to make debugging easier. Ah, I was about to say, I managed to get into the menu once when messing around with going back and forth through doors, but there was no save option in there. XD; Which, now that you mention it not supposed to be open yet, is probably something you should look into. BTW, found a random graphics glitch and something that may be contributing to the twin Calin glitch. 3< At one point when Calin was telling me about the inventory, his name started hovering underneath him... and stayed there even after he walked away. XD; I don't know how I triggered that though. I suppose I could have hovered my mouse in his direction sometime during the dialogue? I decided to try going back through the door into the hall before the guards you flee from--the hall the Calin twin was coming out of--and well. I noticed that Calin's evil twin was standing there, plotting ways to glitch mah game. >( Also, I tried going back through the door in the room where twin!Calin appears, but it wouldn't let me. D: ...That's probably intentional, but I was hoping I could get one of the Calins to disappear that way. (I dunno, I was just trying everything I could think of. I even punched the plotting twin in the face, but he didn't seem to notice. >_>) XD I can't get past that one part because Calin's clone crashes my game every time. T_T Same. XDDD; Thus my random but desperate attempts to kill the Calin twin.
