[glow=red,2,300]PFA - Looks great. Yes, your power-up can be a different element if you want. You gonna make it Light? Yin and yang?[/glow] Yay. :3 And yep, that's what I was planning on.

Just initially, I think? If that makes any sense at all? [glow=red,2,300]In other words, when she first comes out to the field. You know, if it's just then, you can make her heal 2 damage without upping the point cost.[/glow] Ooh. That sounds shiny. I'll edit that in. Thanks for the help and explanations, Rider. ^_^ Here, have a brownie.

Alright then.
Mage Omni (in-progress) Colorless HP: ?? Special power: Energy Transfer - Move one energy card between Omni and a benched ally (Once-per-turn, probably ends the turn) (*) Slash - 2 damage (*)(*)((*)?) Magic Spell - Discard one energy card from Mage Omni, either heal X to a benched ally or deal Y damage of the discarded card type I'm a little low on energy. May I take some of yours?
I'm trying to make it pretty balanced while still sticking true to the persona abilities.
So, analysis?

That works out well for me too. =D I've got a pretty nice strategy devised for my evolution card. @omni - Seems pretty reasonable, although I think you'll need to decide if Mage Omni is going to be an Uncommon or Rare card. On a different note, will it cost us anything extra to make our cards holographic, or is that something that comes automatically with rare cards?

Um, I don't really get this, so correct me if I have any mistakes. >_>''
Nature the Freezemancer (Water) HP: 6 (>_>?) Weapon (Sorry, don't really know this. >_>): (W) Sitar - 3 damage Special attack(s): -- (W) Snowflake Dance - 3 damage -- (W)Ice Column - 4 damage -- (W)(A) Hailstorm - 6 damage
It's a SITAR, not a guitar. There's a difference.
>_> I fail. Miserably.

I really want to make one of these cards and take part in this trading card game thing, but I've never played any of these sorts of games (well, the Pokemon one a looooooong time ago, and I sense this is different), so I'm utterly lost at the moment ^^. Is there going to be a tutorial at some point to explain things to those of us who are drowning in a sea of confuddlement at the moment? (Or am I the only one?)
Also, is there a closing date for card creation, or is it open indefinitely? Thanks

There's a difference.>_> I fail. Miserably. Well for starters there is no 'Weapon' section. To clarify the process of creating a card is: 1. Choose rarity. This shows how many points you have to spend on your card stats. Common, Uncommon and Rare cards give 10, 15 and 20 points respectively. However, character cards like yours get +3 bonus points. But we're talking about creating character cards so just focus on the fact that Common, Uncommon and Rare forumer cards give you 13, 18 and 23 points to spend. 2. Spend your points. Refer to Rider's first post for how much points equal one stat. Cards typically have 2 attacks and/or an optional special ability. 3. Energy requirements. Attacks will need a certain amount of energy to use. Elemental attacks need 1 energy for every 2 damage the attack deals. Colourless (meaning you can use any kind of energy for this attack) attacks need 1 energy for every 1.5 damage. This means Snowflake Dance should deal 2 damage, Ice Column should need another (W) energy, same thing for Hailstorm. 4. Flavour text. Enuf said So after calculations your card spent a total of 19 points, borderline rare card. All basic forumers start at common. Alright then. Mage Omni (in-progress) Colorless HP: ?? The ability is good but I'm concerned with it being a little overpowered because it means I can attach one energy card and then use the ability to attach another. That means in two turns you can power up Magic Spell twice, taking into account the discards. I guess it depends on how rare Mage Omni is? Very creative though *nods*

And there will be lots of in-depth tutorials in the rules thread, so be sure to take notice and read what's already there. >> Don't worry about being confused. I'm helping run this and I have to constantly ask questions. XD Feel free to ask Rider, Scar, or even anyone who's played the Pokemon TCG if you're confused. :3 And considering we're not technically open yet, don't feel rushed about making a player card. <3

[glow=red,2,300]Nature, three of your attacks do the same amount of damage and one of them doesn't have an energy cost. That, and your total points add up to 13.
It's reccomended that you have only two attacks, at most two attacks and a special ability, because that's all that will fit on the card. Sorry I didn't mention that earlier.
You can suggest rare cards whenever you like, yes.
Spoon - There is currently no closing date for card creation. I'll post a tutorial if you want, though. ^_^
Omni, sorry for taking so long to get back. Looks good, but we'll have to plug some numbers in.
Tamia - <3 you. *nomnoms the brownie*
PFA - i is psychic. ^_^[/glow]

Here's my evolution card, which will be Rare. Rare: Commander Strife (Dark) Evolves from Spaceman Strife HP: 10 Special power: Intimidation. Event cards have no effect on Commander Strife or his attacks. (D) Psionic Burst - Deal 2 damage for each energy card attached to Commander Strife (up to a maximum of 8 damage?). (D)(F) Execution - Discard one of your benched allies. If the ally has any energy cards attached to it, attach them to Commander Strife. ~ Power was the best thing that ever happened to him... and the worst. ~ I've already made the graphic for it here: img385.imageshack.us/img385/5605/commanderzv6.pngI probably went over the point limit, but i'm not sure. xD;

[glow=red,2,300]Congrats, Spaceman. Your Execution ability has officially weirded out me, Scar and Goosh. XD In any case, after much debate between me and Goosh, which ended in me being mommy, Scar being daddy and me quoting that Fallout Boy song, (It's a GD arms race, after all. XD) that card is probably balanced. I can see you using it to rain fire and brimstone upon the world, but in hands less evil than yours, it's probably balanced. (<3 you, Strife.)[/glow]

Here's my common persona card:
Killix (colourless) HP: 7 Special Power: Rally. When Killix is switched from active to benched, temporarily increase the attack power of the ally she switches places with by 2. (*) Thwack - 2 damage
Did I do it right? Is that special power too much? XD Should it be a one time use ability only? "temporarily" means until the ally dies (obviously), is benched again or Killix dies.
Can I make other cards? Like, creature and item/effect cards? =D

Very creative though *nods* I kinda wanted to determine X and Y depending on how many points you'd think it would cost. I was seriously considering, if I wanted it in the Uncommon range, 2 or 3 for X and 3-maybe-4 for Y. What rarity would you suggest, taking the ability into account? Thanks. @ Nature: May I suggest having '(W) Snowflake Dance - 2 damage' and '(W)(W/A/*) Hailstorm - 3/4 damage'?

[glow=red,2,300]New Thing, no more Colorless as a card element. We're packing the booster sets by element, and in any case, elements are cooler. Be like the cool kids. Yeah. >.>; *kick'd*
Omni - Discarding energy isn't necessary unless you do 8 points of damage or more.
Mage Omni (in-progress) Colorless HP: ?? Special power: Energy Transfer - Move one energy card between Omni and a benched ally (Once-per-turn, probably ends the turn) (*) Slash - 2 damage (*)(*) Magic Spell - either heal 4 to a benched ally or deal 4 damage. I'm a little low on energy. May I take some of yours?
This would still be worth only 8 points (Magic Spell is 4 points because it's an either-or scenario) leaving 7 points open for 7 HP.
I'm sorry for procrastinating on the tutorial. I'll get to that now.
Also, Killix, that special power is worth a fair amount if it's going to be until the ally dies, is benched, or Killix dies. If you made it for one or two rounds, it would only be worth 2-3 points.[/glow]
