Thankfully all the dorms on campus maintain a strict code of no visitors of the opposite gender in your room after a certain hour. Overnight visitors over the weekends must always be same gender, as well. Yeah. So I won't be...hearing anything...during the night. I hope. My school has rules about overnight visitors too! Visitors of the same gender are allowed to spend the night. Visitors of the opposite gender are also allowed to spend the night - however, they aren't allowed to actually sleep. And no, I kid you not. That is the actual rule that applies to all of campus.

Somehow I think this thread needs to be moved to a "Look Before You Leap" board...

I'll have to look at visitor policy again... I'll post that when I return from work. Working 11-2, so you can wait a few hours.

Aforementioned visitation policy
Guests and Visitation:
All visitors must be approved by all residents of the room, suite or apartment. Overnight guests are permitted only if the established visitation policies are not violated. All overnight guests should be registered at the reception desk. Visitation policies vary for each residence hall, indicating the time frame during which guests may visit a resident's room. Residents of Kentwood Hall, Sunvilla Tower, three upper-class floors in New Residence Hall, one upper-class floo in Scholar's House and the upper-class floors on the east wing of Wells House maintan 24-hour visitation privileges seven days a week.
Blair-Shannon House, Freudenberger House, Hammons House, Wells House (all main and west wing floors), Woods House, and all single-gender floors in New Residence Hall and Scholars House maintain 24-hour visitation privileges on the weekends only.
Regardless of established visitation policies, no guest may reside for more than two nights per week in any residence hall. Room/suitemates and residence life staff have final say regarding all guests regardless of visitation policy.
---
And I just called up and asked about any special regulations regarding my room hall. She said there was none. You can have male-or-female overnight guests (on the weekends) as long as the roommates agree.
*sigh* Maybe I won't be as safe as I thought.

You can always sedate yourself with food....
A lightning strike hit a house my 150 yards away from mine while I was paying the pizza lady for my pizza.
We both see the smoke, she freaks, my sister freaks, I "try" calling 911(Line busy anyway) and after pizza lady leaves, and smoke is billowing from a house that we can see on fire...I sit down and start eating pizza....
No I'm not heartless, I know that someone would call, and that the FD was just walking distance away...and it was raining, so that'd work itself out...

Umm...er...how to do this tactfully. Sheri, a thong is a type of underwear that...well it's just say that it barley covers what underwear would cover. I don't know who else to really say it. ; Umm ... okayy .. I guess I've gotten at least a vague idea of it ... 0-o ~Sheri~

Aido (artist of the Fallen comic) used to have a roommate that came in almost everynight and... did something... with her boyfriend. This was in the time when I used to keep track of people's LJ's... before I discovered that the words 'free time' were non-existant... According to her, she'd come in at night after talking with her friends, find the door open, lights off and a trail of discarded clothes leading towards the bunk. ... I remember she wrote once that she was trying to sleep but couldn't because of the... noises... from the bunk above. So she went out and talked with her friends for awhile. And when she came back.... hours later... the noises were still going on. *coughcoughcough* Well, apparently, people ... doing something ... on the campus in Singapore's .. errr .. universities or something like that ... is pretty common ... in fact, they are so open about it they can even leave the door wide open! 0-o At least that's what I read from the newspaper ... man, what is the world coming to ... *shakes head in disgust* ~Sheri~
