*coughcoughcough* Well, apparently, people ... doing something ... on the campus in Singapore's .. errr .. universities or something like that ... is pretty common ... in fact, they are so open about it they can even leave the door wide open! 0-o At least that's what I read from the newspaper ... man, what is the world coming to ... *shakes head in disgust* ~Sheri~ Well, apparently it's going someplace. It depends on your POV... some people think the world's making great progress in leaps and bounds, which is true to a certain extent. Then there are the people who think the world is on the broad, straight, happily sinful way to hell. Which is also true to a certain extent... crime rates and all....

It sepends on your perspective...IMO, I'm going down with the ship.....I don't mind dying of nulcear winter...
Besides, all that will be left is cockroaches and telemarketers.
I hate them so much. They don't leave you alone, always scurrying about, causing annoyances and causing you to lose your appitite. They don't die either, I stomp one with a shoe, and it just keeps on truckin', going to annoy someone else. Cockroaches too.

Well, from my POV, it seems as if the world's making great progress in leaps and bounds in destroying the natural environment .. what with the clearing of forests, draining of swamps, destroying marine life and birds with oil spills, gas polluting the once so fresh air, rubbish polluting the soil ... sighs ... I just don't think it's right for us to destroy the once perfect Earth that God created specially for us because of our own selfish reasons. (sorry if I sound too preachy or sth) ~Sheri~

Besides, all that will be left is cockroaches and telemarketers. ^_^ You should hear my cockroach song. Hehehe.... I think the world is going up. As we destroy, we also think of ways to combat it. It's not going to be long before we have cars that run on water purely - they're already testing one out. As the world becomes more electronic, I hope we'll use less paper and cut down less trees. We'll find ways of disposing of rubbish, new ways to deal with everything. Not so long ago, if you were ill, you'd probably die. Most children wouldn't reach their 5th birthday, let alone their 16th. Nowadays, we've found cures and vaccines and treatments. And, slowly, we can start to spread them over the whole world, until civilisation conquers all. So what if I'm optimistic ?

IMO We've already destroyed the Earth beyond repair. Just take a look at some parts of Russia (like Chernobyl) where it's unlivable because of the radiation. That radation cloud went all over the world and now everyone on Earth has even the smallest bit of radation in them. Or how about that giant hole in the ozone? Or Just take a look at our growing waste sites, polluted lakes and rivers, how many rainforests are left nowadays and our ever-expanding human population to just make things even worse on ourselves.... Oh yeah, and the polar ice caps are melting because of global warming. Yep, the planet Earth is dying..and it has been for quite a while now, thanks to us humans

Or how about that giant hole in the ozone? Meowth, actually that hole in the ozone is a most likely a natural occurance. For one thing, it's not like we watched it get that way we just one day noticed it, so for all we know it could've been there for decades and centuries before. As well, when combined with all the natural CO2 produced by nature itself, what we humans put out there is a very miniscule amount, which goes to show that even if we got rid of all CO2 producing products that "problem" would never be gone.

Human caused or not, the ozone still has a giant hole in it. That leads to other problems down on the ground such as UV rays from the sun burning us.
EDIT: Uhh...we're kinda off topic now XD

EDIT: Uhh...we're kinda off topic now XD From sleaze to demise. Still, at least humans try to fix the world. We all naturally have background radiation, with or without Chernobyl. And some scientists believe global warming naturally occurs every several million years, or something *shrugs* At least most countries try to reduce CO2 emissions.

You better. This is a "Skimpy Aishas" thread, not a "Save The Earth" thread! I'm quite the motivational speaker, ain't I?
