It starts out slow and ominous, slowly gets cheerful and faster, and then it becomes exciting, complete with triplets.

Heard this in the opening ceremony and loved it. It gives me a tingling feeling. So lovely.

I tend to hate "Waaah my baby left me" songs, just on principle. Then I found this.

This song is incredible. It can be sung in so many different styles. Personally, I think that parts of this song should have been sung many times throughout the opera, instead of just the first time in act 1, and in the finale. Also, Johanna Quartet from Sweeney Todd. Just a warning, although it isn't very graphic, the video does feature Sweeney Todd killing several people. It is, however, an absolutely beautiful song.

More of an earworm but...the BBC News theme song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrQ6v_O5W- It does not sound like a news theme. It sounds like the music of a boss battle (or as Bill Bailey put it an "apocalyptic rave").

Famous Blue Raincoat by Leonard Cohen.
I am just... so in love with this song right now. It is everything. It is perfect. It sounds like rain and night and pavement.
