I really like the Harry Potter books, and I think the movies would be good if only the main actor was a little better. Oh, and maybe a better director, too. God, the way that kid Radcliffe repeats the last few words of what people say to him is almost too much to bare.
My little brother has an authentic Harry Potter scar. No kidding, it's a long, lightning-shaped scar down the mid-right of his forehead. It's a tad scary. . .

Yes, that does sound very scary.... It's not as well-defined as Harry's scar: it's white rather than brown or red. But it is the right shape and in the right location, and it freaks everyone out. Unfortunately, the rest of him doesn't look a thing like Harry. His hair is too light and he's too well-built. I suppose he does have the right color of eyes, though.

Hmm... the first Harry Potter bookie was published in 1997, and by that time he was 10/11, so technically... me is 4 years younger than him >_< UH OH! That means I'm the same age as Colin Creevy's little brother... O.o scarey...

*GASP!!*[/i] HOW did I miss this thread!? ;_; Oh dear! I feel so unloyal to Harry! Okay,NOW to answer EVERYTHING...>) The only Harry Potter book I didn't like was Chamber of Secrets. The Tom Riddler plot was good, but it seemed like Ms. Rowling was trying too hard to stretch a story that wasn't that long into a novel, and the filler material stank up the book. I agree, I didn't find book2 all that appealing (although it was GODLY, just not on Harry Godly-like standards). I suppose the diary thing was a bit off for me, but it was still rather good! I ESPECIALLY loath it when the school authorities punish Harry and all the other students look down on him. I mean, do they have noodles for brains? Not only is it not fun to read, but by Year 4 you would have thought that the students may have recognized a pattern that, when Harry get's in trouble, it's not hi fault, and what he was doing was right all along. Chamber had the most of this crap, a major negative point for it. Oh, I was just FUMING through the fourth book. Rita Skeeter made me so disturgingly mad that I was ready to smash the book against the wall in fustartion of her stupidity! The studen body as well, but I suppose it goes with the hole mentality of kids where "Hey! he ruined it, lets just hate him!"Lockhart made me mad in the book as well.... Azkaban was the best book. I love it (as well as the 1st and 4th book). However everyone here loves them too, so I don't think I need to explain myself the same way I had to explain myself for Secrets. Though it's been a while since I read any of the books... Also there was qutie a bit of sexism. No, I don't think it's a reason for banning it or anything, yes, I know the author is a woman, and many other books have a worse issue with this, but it's there. Females make 50% of the world's population. Out of all the characters in Harry Potter who alter the course of the plot line, what percentage are female? Well, there are a good deal of females. Harry's mother was a female (......) and she is, ineffect, kind of the one who started it (what with her sacrfgifice for Harry's life with her own). There is also going to be a female Dark Arts teacher within book5, so hopefuly she will add a bit more to the female book characters. Plus, the Harry guy is a terrible actor. The basilisk didn't look anything like a snake. I could go on and on and on...again.... Oh god, I hate Daniel Radcliffe with a passion. The first movie made me scream and cry just with his ACTING! "I-I'm a what?""Me? Voldemort tr-tried to kill...me?UGH! Just kill me now and spare me the rest of that! He was hired pretty much on his looks, which is a shotty way of hiring someone. e_e;

I am a big big Harry Potter fan!! I heard the fifith book is going to come out this summer! I can't wait! I do hope JK Rowling finishes ger book in time. Latest rumors suggest that July could be the release date. If so, it would be horribly ironic if it was released on july 31st (Harry and JK Rowling's birthday) or July 26th (my birthdat)One more thing that REALLY bugs me: Isn't Harry supposed to have GREEN eyes?? His eyes are blue in the movie... YES! the disgusting thing about this is that Jk Rowling has stated time and time again the the green eyes are a pivitoal part of the story.... Daniel Radcliffe says that the green contacts were itchy. Ohhh, poor baby, he's a quater, call someone and find a new job then... If you get millions, you better wear t hose contacts. I don't care about his whining, such a dork it's pathatic... They could have even edited his EYES easily, But they DIDN'T. It's little stuff like that that just annoys me... Hmm... the first Harry Potter bookie was published in 1997, and by that time he was 10/11, so technically... me is 4 years younger than him >_< UH OH! That means I'm the same age as Colin Creevy's little brother... O.o scarey... Harry is 22 years old right now. Theres a bit of math that goes into this... In book2 the Deathday Part of Nearly Headless Nick states that he died on October 31st, 1492 and that the part in book2 is his 500th death day. SO, you add 1492 + 500 and get 1992. This states that book2 took place in 1992... More math shows that right now Harry would be 22 right now (it says 23, but he hasen't had his birthday in 2003 yet...soo). Wow, this thread escaped me for so long, I had no idea. ; I personaly can't wait for book5. Book4 really had no ending, so I'm just DYING to know what happens next. Of course there was a card auctioned off which revleaed the plot (the kind of summary that you find inside a book jacket). Although a private collector got the card, JK Rowling was nice enough to release a few words about it... Thirty-eight chapters ... might change ... longest volume ... Ron ... broom ... sacked ... house-elf ... new teacher ... dies ... sorry38 chapters is QUITE nice. Although it could still be shoter than book4, 38 chapters IS nice...^^ The actors for Dumbledore, Sirius, Lupin and I think Peter are still being cast. I really hope that someone from Lord of the Rings isn't in Harry Potter. Despite their amazing acting ablities, I'm just too used to them being in that movie, and seeing one of them as Dumbledore would be odd... Sirius and Lupin are my two favorite actors, so I'm sure that they will distory that (Harry is my first favorite, and look what they did to HIM). Movie won't be out till the Summer of 2004. Sad really because my mother, sister and I have gone right after school to the movie, and if it's in the summer, I may not be abel to go with them (leaving for college in the summer of 2004...). In any case, Harry Potter rocks, and I want more books. I don't enjoy the moveis that much, as it gives people fuel to go "YA! HARY POTER ISNT DUMB CUZ TATH MOVIE WAS BIRNG!!!!11"... I want more books, and even after the books are done, it seems that JK Rowling has planned to release an encylopidea of everything in Harry's world (I've seen inetrveiews in her house and she has STACKS OF BOXES full of tiny notes, just tons of them). So being abel to have a book like that would be just a dream for me. ^_~ She also said that she was possibly thinking of making a collection of short stories about Harry and the Mauders after the books are finished. I would love that, the Mauders are just so great! ^_^ In any case, Harry rocks!

The best thing about the books is just the subtilies of it. How things interconnect, and you don't realse what this tiny tidbit here had to do with anything, unitl you get to another book and it's like " ! ooo!". It's not like those flismy books where the series has big gaping timeplot holes and such, and I like that. ^_^ I'm too obsessed with the book though. Last year I had to write an anaylsas on any four books and I chose Harry. My paper was 11-ish (possibly 14, I've forgotten) pages long, while the minimium was 5 pages... ^_^;

Lol. I tend to get carried away too . . .
For this writing thing, it was only supposed to be four pages-ish. Guess how many pages I wrote . . . ? Twelve. Hahahaha. -.-
I think it's because . . . well, of course I like writing! I have this 45 1/2 paged story called "Ryo" that I wrote over the summer. It sucks. *kick*
"Well, if it was that long, it must be good!" Quality, not quantity!!
Anyways, yes. I like Harry Potter. The End.
