I thougt Pokemon Coluseum was just going to be another Stadium, but boy was I wrong! According to this article, it will also contain the first 3D RRPG in the Pokemon series. Another first: the game isn't going to be about sport-pokemon. A direct quote from the magazine:

My brother's friend Adam (he's 18 but puts my spelling and grammar to shame) sent my brother some info about it. I thought I would share it with you.
(Sorry, if you know this already or if some of the info is wrong as I don't know anything about the game.)

There is an RPG/scenario mode (in addition to regular Stadium stuff) where you take control of a character who has just beaten this team rocket like team who had this device where you could steal somebody else's pokemon. Your trainer takes this device and then goes on and speaks to somebody else who thinks that another team is making pokemon dark with some other device, (not dark typed but actual evil pokemon). Your goal is to capture these evil pokemon from their evil trainers and heal them back to normal.

You start with an Umbreon lvl 26, and Espeon lvl 25 (they are always male so you can't breed them until we get Fire red/Blue, and get Ditto). In this game almost all the pokemon from g/s/c that weren't catchable in r/s will be available including the starters and the legendary dogs.

However some of them will be evolved already. Like you come to three trainers but you can only fight one of them, and each one has an evil Bayleef or a Croconaw or a Quilava. Which means to get their preevolved versions you have to breed them with Ditto most likely since only 1 in 8 of any of the starters (on any version) is female. And to complete your pokedex you will need to trade with others."
