We got a new supervisor recently, and he's known to be really strict, so I was kind of worried. As it turns out, he's very, very nice! (As long as you work hard)
He bought us lunch, and when we were complaining about how someone royally screwed up stocking DVDs and caused us a lot of work, he said:
"Don't worry, I'm from Jamaica. We know how to make people disappear. You'll see it on the news- Missing, last seen at Best Buy."
Also, he keeps letting me work extra hours, so now my paycheck won't be so sad and tiny.
Also, today we got a batch of 'Pirates of the Caribbean' pins. They're little movies posters, about 2x3 inches. ^____^
Edit: Oh, and I almost forgot! I was MVP of the Quarter for Media, and I've only been there for 3 months! Guess I don't have to worry about getting fired after Christmas!

Oh, TEOW, I'm so glad that you're job has gotten better! I remember your thread on the banter board about how you were so stressed out and overworked...it's great to see that you're happy again ^_^ ;D

(Also, they bumped back my hours so I'm coming in at 5 am, but that means I get an extra paid hour a day) It's just that now I'm being stressed out and overworked with and by cool people. I really like my co-workers. Some of the new people are bad enough to get their own banter post, though... If you saw how much I paid for the Witch Hunter Robin special edition box, you'd understand why I'm so happy. ^_^ Also, my sister just got hired, too. |
