In my french immersion class, we have to write a composition every two weeks or so.
I got my fourth one back today, and I got 24/25 first time! (That was pretty nice of my teacher - usually we have to hand it back in twice or three times to get 24 or 25)
She found me after and asked me if I'd taken it out of the bin. I said yes - and then she told me that "J'ai adorée! A - d - orée!"
Fweeeeee! Coming from her, that's really big praise.^_^

You know what's weird about French Immersion? Since I've been in it since kindergarten, French became almost my first language...and even now, I mispronounce English words (using French pronunciation). Most of us do. o_0

Je grimace déjà. Mais ce n'est pas aussi horrible que tout ça...j'aime apprendre une langue differente. Et peut-être j'accompagnerai Madame à Paris dans quelques années!!!  See, there's a really cool exchange program that we do with students from France. Next year, in grade 10, I'll be able to participate...maybe...if my parents agree to let me go. They're pretty protective and they don't like the idea of me being in a stranger's house in a foreign country for three months. They're funny that way.  The composition was about a chosen subject: "L'endroit où j'aimerais vivre". I'd also like to learn Latin (and Italian and German) but I'm not sure it's better than French! |

Praise God, all...gentlemen?...Praise...something...all people. Something...something...all...gentlemen?...master, something...something...glory?...something. I assume it's a hymn or carol. Do you speak/write Latin, or did you put that through a translater? Some of the word order seems a bit funny based on my limited knowledge. (I know my translation's tense is wrong, by the way I dunno whatever you're writing it in.) |

Je ne parle pas le francais tres bien. J'oublie comment ecrive des accents, aussi. Je saisit l'angalis et le francais. Ma programme de francais n'est pas tres bien; je suis la meilleure dans ma classe de francais, et je ne suis pas tres bien a francais. Pardon moi, est-ce que je tanne vous? Pardon moi, je ne saisit comment faire l'accents en l'ordinateaur. Mais, metenah, au revoir!

I love French ^_^ I want to learn every language I can, though! That would be so fuun ^_^ I'm pretty good at French, although not really, really, really good like Weasel (congrats, by the way ^_-!) and many others out there.
Once I was doing a presentation on Samuel de Champlain for history, and I kept mispronouncing the words.
"He and his uncle traveled in Monsieur Champlain's first vooy-aje."
