Just posting this because I had an exceptionally enjoyable day today despite the "bad luck" stereotypes that follow this particular day. If there's anything that you have/will enjoy(ed) about today, feel free to add on.
Well, I actually woke up this morning (gasp) without feeling grumpy as I usually do - it might've been the excitement of the day in itself that helped me wake up, I'm not sure. I managed to catch the bus on time and got to school early: hung out with some of my friends, helped little kids fix their costumes, etc. etc. Then, I went to the store near the school and bought $5 worth of candy (a little too much, I admit)
My teachers all seemed to be in a good mood today as well, I recieved some candy from them in addition to the large amount I already had. Each period brought a Halloween-themed song over the intercom from our rather insane principal, and with that followed a wasted 10 minutes where us crazy kids danced and threw wrappers at each other.
Also, I didn't recieve any demerits today (our school system uses these to follow bad conduct, I usually get 2 or 3 a day due to the fact that I make too many jokes and laugh at too many, which is horrible to my conduct grade..). After school we scared each other with our masks and some boys egged down the coffee store down the block from the school, and of course me with my excessive laughing got a good kick out of it.. horrible sense of humor, I know.
The best thing is the day isn't even finished. I'm going to enjoy a nice, long chat with a few of my good friends online this evening, scare trick-or-treaters off of my front step, and hog the candy to myself while watching and re-watching movies that manage to make me pee my pants. I dunno, these things may seem simplistic -- I'm just very glad I've had a good day, I've been extremely busy this year.
Hope you all have a happy Halloween!
