Heh. This school year's been very stressful so far; there's about ten times the pressure there was last year. I've been having some trouble coping, doing things like staying up too late on homework and feeling guilty and irresponsible whenever I took any free time. Yesterday some things happened, I couldn't deal with them, and I ended up going home because I was crying too badly to stay in class. So, Mom decreed that today I WAS taking a day off and I WAS staying home, and if I didn't relax properly she'd make me stay home tomorrow too (which would mean missing a band competition, meaning I'd probably drop two letter grades in band). It's been lovely The thing yesterday turned out to have been a mistake (a teacher involved called me this morning to explain what happened and apologize, even though it wasn't really her fault), I got acquainted with a new bar of oatmeal soap and my little sister's bubble bath, I had something relatively decent for lunch, I slept in, I checked my email, I watched one of my favorite movies that I haven't seen in ages, I just sat around--it's been really great

That does sound lovely. I had a really stressful weekend last week so I skipped my first class on Monday and slept in. Rachel accidently slept through her first class today and says it felt really nice. It's so great to pamper yourself and get a break like that. Good for you.

Mmm, this thread makes me just wanna wrap up in my sister's big purple throw, get a nice, warm drink, and listen to The Calling. In fact...
*Runs off*
Reminds me of a time I was getting totally stressed out. My head was totally blocked up because of my hayfever, and I gave my PE teacher the note, and she yelled at me. She said we weren't even outside, and it was a pathetic excuse, and to go join the other no-kitters. Well, I really couldn't take it.
I burst into tears about 10 minutes later. I said I felt sick, and got taken home. I slept the rest of the day, and felt alot better for it.
