Oh my gosh, I can't BELIEVE IT!
Last Friday, it must have been a full moon or something, because I got nominated for 3 spots on our Student Council! Treasurer, Class Rep., and Secretary. However, there were too many nominees for all the positions (There were 6 positions) so only the people with the top four numbers of nominations for each category would get to run for that position. And, by some freak act of nature, I was nominated multiple times for Treasurer!
I made a speech, but it was a minute and a half over the time limit, which I had only found out about this morning. So, I re-did my entire speech in about 2 minutes by writing a few notes on the back of a spelling test. Then, I presented, and I figured I had lost. Then, Rae and I (who were running against each other) were convinced the other candidate was going to win, made a bet on each other. The winner had to buy the loser an order of fries. I WON!!!!!!!
I CANNOT believe it! I figured I was such a jerk, there was NO WAY I would get elected. And it wasn't even that close, apparently!!!
I'm SO happy now! In the same week, I made the volleyball team, AND am Treasurer on Student Council!!!!
...Now my only problem is figuring out how I'm going to get Rae the thing of fries...
