hmm.. you probly have no ram left for running you're files.... You can try to find the programs that automaticly turn on with startup(exsept system files) and stop them from starting (nurmaly accesible in the options in alot of programs) ....... but as you said you're "hopefully" getting it fixed so you don't realy have to worry about that....... when my computer slows down (because of too many programs) I save all of my inportant info to a CD then get a new hard drive... then the computer runs like new .. YAY
