You blast Jahbal for 35 damage! Your Inferno Robe focuses your blast, doing an extra 2 damage to Jahbal! You defeated Jahbal!Jahbal is hurled off the balcony by your blast! Jahbal was carrying a Spirit Healing Potion! You gain 5000 experience points for defeating this creature! You are awarded a bonus of 5000 NEOPOINTS for defeating Jahbal! You have no idea how hard this was for me - I've been replaying all of Normal mode in NeoQuest ever since I found out my pet that was on Evil mode was the same I had recently put into the Pound. Now I can finally start on Evil mode again! Hoorah!

Congrats! I don't have the patience for NeoQuest... It's exactly the same here for me. Maybe I should try it someday, but in the meantime I'm happy just being lazy.

I never did either - tried playing it as soon as the game first came out, then got tired of it and left. But then I got a certain history teacher who I'll refer to as Ms. Herring... playing NeoQuest was the only thing that kept me alive in that class, so I owe a lot to it.

I've beaten Normal mode once using all Life and Shock skills and once using all Life and Fire skills. Personally I think Life and Shock is a better combination. I'm just about to go get some lunch, so I don't have long to type, but here are some sites that should certainly help you get around. www.neoquestmaps.com/index.shtml - Has plenty of good maps as well as an excellent strategy guide and walkthrough of the game that tells you everything about how to fight monsters, how to distribute your skills, and where to go next. www.pinkpt.com/idnq/ - Another great help site, now complete. Includes info on monsters, maps, and guides for pretty much everything you need to know. If you still have questions after taking a look at those two sites, feel free to drop me a line - you'll get to me faster if you Neomail me at Starhamster42. Good luck, and happy Questing!

I'm (im)patiently working my way through Evil mode right now. I'm wandering about the Techo caves, and it's taking me forever and a day to get leveled up and get through. The fact that I have dailup doesn't help anything. Grr...

The worst part of the game for me has always been the Jungle Ruins and the Temple of Roo - things go so sloooow before you get that Life Staff, and patience has never been one of my virtues. After that the game goes quickly - I can (and still do) play the rest of it using the Life Staff rather than the Moonstone one, even to fight Jahbal; that 100-point heal is invaluable.

Congrats to you.
Me? I never really have the patience for RPGs... They just seem so...repetative. Which really makes me wonder how in the world I got through Breath of Fire... One of these days, I'll get through an RPG without a walkthrough... Heh.

I beat Evil difficulty before I found this forum. I decided not to play insane difficulty. As a rule, I don't play games where you could have to start ALL OVER from the beginning and you have no way of saving for if something goes wrong. They're not good for my anxiety disorder. Anyway... *polishes silver Neoquest trophy*
