Firstly, I just wanted to send out a big HUG to everyone...an even bigger hug to those needing one now...  I also thought I'd post things that were Happy...so feel free to post things that make you happy as well, even simple things. Anway, for today, one thing that makes me happy is the rain. I know it sounds silly, but when it is semi warm, but rains it is just wonderful. The water feels so good and it's just this undescribably happy feeling, it's just a wonderful experience, rain is just very happy for me, so when I woke up this morning to the rain, it made me smile. I was watching the sunrise the other morning, and a tiny movement caught my eye. I changed my focus, and saw a tiny spider spinning its web between a beam of the porch, and a hanging bit of rope. It reminded me that there are other things going on in this world on all levels, and we go about our lives distracted by all the surface stuff. It was a nice reminder that there is more to life than what we know in our daily living.  And special hugs to Lis, who is as sensitive and caring an individual as a person can find. |

When my Mom was little, her mother was so terrified of thunderstorms that she would actually hide in a closet until they were over. My mom vowed that her own children would not grow up terrified of storms like that, so when we were little she used to put us in our bathing suits and send us out into summer rain storms. We were never afraid of the thunder and lightning because we would laugh and run in the warm, driving rain. It was like an outdoor shower from heaven with accompanying special effects. Maybe Mom was crazy to do that, but I'm glad she did. Because now we all turn off the lights during storms and watch it out the window while eating popcorn. It's funny how something that can make one person miserable can bring joy to someone else. It's all in your attitude about it. It's still the same storm for everyone.

It's funny, we were just never scared of thunderstorms at all. I have no clue why, I think our parents did it make it a positive event, but i can't remember anything like that. It's just always been fun. However, my DOG pants, sweats, shakes uncontrolably, hides in closets or under tables, and is utterly petrified. It's so pathetic to watch her... I love the rain too. Especially just as I'm getting into bed, nice and warm, and the rain taps on the roof and sends me to sleep. It's just a nice feeling! |

Yesterday was a beautiful day here--immensely sunny, a nice breeze... and I ran outside and used up an entire disposable camera with pictures of a paradise in my own backyard. And today's sun is nice and muted, and it's just so nice. ^_^
I like rain, but the sun was so nice yesterday....

I LOVE the rain! It just makes me at peace with myself and everyone and happy too! Plus after the rain, I love to breathe in the fresh air and feel the cool wind blowing on my face!
