What is NaNoWriMo? It stands for National Novel Writing Month, dedicating November to finishing that novel draft you've been wanting to write. You might also use it for making progress on other creative wip's or projects. The official goal is to write 50,000 words in just one month, but nothing says you can't make your own parameters and/or choose something beyond a novel to work on!
Under the NaNo board, you can make your own thread describing your project and tracking progress, and here is where you can stop by and make conversation, talk about your NaNo experience. etc. Talk about the latest challenges with your writing! Ask about others' strategies! Cheer each other on! Have fun!

As I see it, I have two main projects I'm working on right now. I need to get Crime Show Book over the finish line. And I would like to get going on my guinea pig book. Need to figure out which to make a thread for, or to make one for both. Or maybe I could make two threads, one for each??

Honestly, nothing stopping you from making two separate threads if that would be best for your organization!
I am not gonna commit myself to a full project like the event would usually call for. Instead, I might just use a thread to track progress on script writing for my next comic arc as I want to get started on that by beginning of next year. The more I get done this month, the more time I have for editing and getting started come New Year's.
