I got hooked on the League of Legends’ multiverse that I decided to make my list of AUs I conceptualized as an idea for my Neopets fanfiction. Blame Zylphia because she caused one to appear already (twisted histories) but the question in my mind is……what if there are more AUs in that multiverse. Here are my au ideas for it:
Academy: A contemporary universe set in a school/high school, all of the Neopets heroes and villains are either students or school staff members.
Arcade: A universe where characters interact with digital video game entities.
Battle Queens: A universe where the heroes and villains are queens and participate in the Coronation, a tournament between rulers that determines the fate of their Queendom or their spouse's Kingdom.
Chromacrash: Set in a world controlled by the Hivemind, the Chromacrashers seek to show the beauty of indiviuality with their paint weapons.
Concrete Canvas: In Styxbridge City of Shenkuu, Japan, demons, creatures, and humans live side-by-side. Every year, a street art festival is held, culminating in a friendly competition to see who can make the biggest and boldest graffiti: TagFest!
Culture Clash: Set in an alternate Earth, each Neopets hero or villain represents the culture of a real-world nation.
Dragons: A fantasy-like universe where dragons roam free in vast numbers. Characters are either allied with the dragons (as dragon riders and dragon tamers) or against them (as dragon slayers or dragon hunters).
Eclipse: A fantasy universe with monastic knights, witches, the fae, and eldritch gods of an old world.
Coven - Witches
Templars - Knights and Warriors
Dreamwood - Fae Folk
Edo: An alternate Earth, where each Neopets hero or villain is a part of the edo period, identified as yokai by the humans.
Faerietales: A universe set in a storybook world where each of the Neopets heroes and villains is a character from a fairy tale world.
Faerie Magic: A universe with anime-inspired magically empowered school characters, blessed by the faeries to fight evil, and protect the world. BTW, they're all humanoids or humans in this AU like in Music.
Great Plains: A universe with a western-like society filled with cowboys, indigenous tribes, horses, rodeos, law, and order.
High Guardian: A universe, set in a world where the Neopets heroes and villains, go to school that cultivates the next generation of heroes.
Hirayamanawari - A pair of heroes from the precolonial-based Sun Lands and the Spanish Colonial-based Moon Hills was chosen by the gods to embark on a quest to fulfill a prophecy that says that chosen warriors will appear from the remaining five kingdoms, the Star Mountains, the Comet Valleys, the Galaxial Swamps, the Dawn Valley, and the Dusk Islands, who will help them defeat the evil god, Detinos and his army of rebellious dark gods and save the world itself from destruction.
Magicrystal: Long ago, in a time beyond all living memory, the existence of magic was swept away from the universe. Life moved on, but some worlds could not, and as years turned to decades and centuries, nature began to rebalance itself. Finally the time has come, and now magic is ready to make its return, though not in the form that anyone expects.
MerPlatinum: A contemporary universe similar to real-life Earth where bands or groups are formed by the neopets as merfolk to save the oceans from a dangerous threat.
Miracutech: Neopia is on its last legs, nearly defeated by a high-tech army of villains. Enter Anima Squad: elite fighters using salvaged Primordian tech to push back against the end of the world. To save Neopia, they will have to fight like an animal. Btw, the neopets are humans here.
Anima Squad - Formed by a group of neopets to defend Neopia from the Primordians after the first invasion, the Anima Squad are a group of elite fighters who use salvaged Primordians tech to save Neopia from the invaders.
Primordians - Cast from dry land, the neopets who were corrupted by The Drenched’s powers; now becoming the Primordians bided their time deep beneath the sea, biding their time for centuries… until they could no longer abide the surface-dwellers any longer, nor their abuses of the planet. Thus the Drenched's judgment was made: humanity's era in the sun is over, and that of the Primordians has only just begun.
Music: A contemporary universe similar to real-life Earth where bands or solo musicians are composed of characters from different plots. Ranging from Rock, Pop, Funk, Techno, Country, and Classical to K-Pop, Reggaeton, Jazz, and many more, they are ready to shine on stage and show the world who they are meant to be. BTW, they're all humanoids or humans in this AU.
Pop
Crown Jewels - A pop band, formed by Helena White and the heroes of both the Champions of Meridell/Battle for Meridell, Jeran, and Danner, alongside the heroes of The Darkest Faerie plot, Tormund, and Roberta. After the breakup of their last band, former music superstars from the Coat of Arms, Jeran, Tormund, and Danner used to score the top of the charts, before they broke up with their former bandmates because of a disagreement, but now they are reduced to playing nostalgia tours and county fairs. Soon, they score a chance at a major comeback when K-pop superstar, Helena White offers to form a band with them. Joined by Roberta, Lyra Xendrik, and Aurrick, the Crown Jewels rose up to fame in their truly outrageous new look, their skill in playing music, and their brand new sound, which fuses both the old sound of the 90’s and the fresh beats of K-Pop.
S2S - Inspired by her older sister’s fame and the wonders of K-Pop through Helena White, aspiring singer Vyssa recruits rapper Terrana, Roberta’s cousin Dona, who turned out to be a skilled vocalist, rising singer, Rosetta Fontaine, and her twin sister and veteran choreographer Loretta, to form their own singer group with a sleek look and a killer sound. With S2S climbing at the top of the charts, no one can bring them down. Sankara was a potential recruit of this group but was rejected because of a scandal that ruined her reputation.
InkBlaze - After leaving Kanrik’s group, Thieves’ Guild when Galem and Masila were kicked out for their bad reputation, mischievous multi-instrumental musical genius and singer, Hanso decided it was time he took some creative control back. Now, having left his old label, he and his girlfriend/manager Brynneth are out to form another group that will outshine the others in the music industry. Joined by vocalist Garin and his producer/DJ best friend Jacques, aspiring breakdancer Talak, and their crew of backup dancers to make a comeback with, complete with an even sharper style, InkBlaze is ready to take this climb straight to the top of the charts.
RnB:
Queen Amira - Famous popstar and CEO of the Sakhmet Fashions, Amira dazzles the stage with her RnB singles topping the charts. As the older sister of S2S vocalist, Vyssa, Her beauty, intelligence, and singing voice has led to hundreds of fans who want to marry her but she stubbornly refuses any proposals made to her, preferring to sing, manage her business, and use her wealth for a good cause.
Rock:
Brute Squad - A heavy metal band, founded by a skilled musician named Flint, who is known for his commandeering, warrior-like guitar riffs. As the leader and lead guitarist, he selected the keyboard mistress, Alhana the Patient, the quiet bassist Martha, fierce drummer, Tyran Far, rhythm guitarist Khadir, and surprisingly, Flint chose Magax, who brutally broke free from Hubrid Nox, the chia who imprisoned him in a restrictive record deal that took away his creative independence, as the lead vocalist. After hiring Buster and the Yurble, who calls himself Rent-a-Brute, as roadies and bodyguards, Flint is determined to make his band the undisputed masters of melting the face right off your head. Six members, two platinum albums, and the chrome-fisted fury of their musical weapons. It's time to rock!
Ruined Clawz- A punk rock band formed by Balthazar and Vira, who teamed up to form their own band. Hiring the Court Dancer, Sabatha, and the recently kicked out Galem Darkhand and Masila. Rival to the Crown Jewels, they would try to claim the number one spot on the charts for themselves because, for them, music is about personal success and the self-gratifying rewards it offers.
Hip Hop:
Desert Vibes - Jazan is the son of Bollywood Music Royalty. With his father's esteemed reputation, he has an easy path to superstardom —and yet, he chose hip hop music instead of following his father’s footprints. With his DJ friend, Nightsteed, it's his mission to recruit accomplished and up-and-coming artists to form a new supergroup. He failed to convince famous pop singer, Amira to help him but he is able to recruit a team of street performers, in which four of them stood out; Zina the spirited choreographer, Horace the breakdancing genius, Tomos the street-savvy rapper with hard-hitting beats, and charming vocalist, Nabile, who unsurprisingly becomes his girlfriend. Never before has a crew been comprised of such diverse talent, ranging from natural lyricists to renowned producers, legendary dancers, and talented vocalists—all ready to disrupt the music industry.
Techno:
DJ Gorix - As a virtuoso of techno music, Gorix has the skill to become a veteran producer all others turn to for inspiration. His beats transcend genre, painting whole universes with wild textures of sound, which makes the fans dance into the galaxy.
Mythos: Set in a mythological world, each Neopets character represents a mythological god, hero, villain, or creature.
Odyssey: A science-fiction universe with a vast galactic civilization dependent on a mysterious golden essence known as Nova.
Quests of Yore: A fantasy universe, where the characters are either humans or mythical races with different classes to choose from (A follow-up for my Neopets mythical creatures AU).
Silver Age: A contemporary universe where each Neopets character is a super hero/villain.
Space Groove: A sci-fi magical girl universe that is set in a galaxy powered by mysterious energy known as The Groove, the heroes fight back against the Darkest Faerie and her army of Harsh Vibes to keep things funky and groovy. Based on Space Channel 5, the Funk Trolls from the Trolls movies, Sailor Moon, P-Funk mythology, the "retro" charm of the 80s anime and retro-futurism aesthetic.
Vice: A universe with an alternate depiction of Neopia, with real-life Earth appearance of 80s police flicks.
Winged Reign: Pixies, nixies, hobs, redcaps, and more call the Faerie Kingdoms home: all creatures of pure natural magic and ethereal beauty that delight in moonlight revels, mellifluous song, and tricksy dealings. The faeries are servants to nature's will, carrying out the natural order and the turning of seasons with their magic. Beneath that higher purpose, however, a constant game of political intrigue plays out in luxurious courts of silk, gossamer, and gold. Power, after all—magical, natural, or political—always inspires competition.
Worldbreaker: A fantasy universe inspired by real-life Earth mesoamerican cultures. It has deities that hold the fate of the world in their hands.
