(What does "Ser" mean? At first I thought it was a first name, but everyone has it?)

(What does "Ser" mean? At first I thought it was a first name, but everyone has it?) It's basically "sir," but just to signify that someone was actually knighted.

Ser is a title for a knight, yeah. It's used a lot in fantasy literature (The Afterward was my first encounter with it I think. Great book about lady knights!) Both words probably come from the same origin, but sir is a masculine title these days, whereas ser is understood just as a term for a knight. Moni your pun is perfect. Don't apologise. xD EDIT: Kyn if you ultimately go with your half-fey idea, that's fine by me! No reason there can't be more than one fey character.

Is there a way we can come up with a system for tagging when it's your turn to post? I keep worrying I'm going to miss when it's my turn. Also, Twillie, it's your turn.

And I'll try make a habit of tagging Celes after my turn. Twillie And so we meet our first apparently normal knight! xD I am sure he will cope so well with the fey monarch, the surfer/lifeguard, and the displaced samurai.

Twillie And so we meet our first apparently normal knight! xD I am sure he will cope so well with the fey monarch, the surfer/lifeguard, and the displaced samurai. Lol yeah he's a bit less lofty in concept xD I don't know too much about Arthurian lore, but what I do know is that some of it shows up in OSRS, so I went with Percival because he's an NPC in that game xD There is some weirdness to his concept that I'm toying with where
he's a reiteration of the Percival character living his life over once more, and this past failure he senses alludes to his first story that was never finished where he's the original Grail hero, or maybe to past stories when he fails to save the Fisher King's life. Maybe the OSRS version of him is even a past iteration xD I feel like my first post came across as rather dramatic, but I'm hoping not to make his story too serious right now really. My idea for now is to just have some meta fun with the history of this character lol.

Been really enjoying seeing your all's characters emerge. 8DD
(And thanks for explaining the word "ser"! Very neat. I'd never heard it before this, either! =o )

It begins \(°_° )/ Very fun so far yes~
About the Grail itself, does it have strongly established lore in-world? Is it likely our characters know it well? Or is it possible that our characters have wildly diverse interpretations of what a Grail is and what it can do for them?

I was wondering whether it might be possible to establish the Grail as a magical artifact that can conditionally grant wishes?
That would remove the religious connotations it had in the original canon while providing a convincing reason why the knights would set out on a quest for it.

I don't think it originally had the religious connotations anyway- that came later. Although since nobody has actually seen it and rumours tend to fly, it still makes sense if your character had heard some differing details Liou!
