Midwest Meetup at Comicon with Neopets

It was amazing making the trek to Kansas City and meeting fellow Neopians. I'm still tired but happy. So rather than make one giant post that might never actually happen, I'll make a series of posts, and invite Twillie and Geodude 🌻 to join me. And anyone else who wants to chime in.

In preparation for the event, I drew all of my Neopets and had them printed on a postcard. I forgot to give them out a lot of the time, but now I get to share it virtually with all of you! (I'm also considering sharing them not-so-virtually, but I'll keep you posted on that, I haven't decided anything yet.)

I do want to make more posts in the future, but wanted to cut into here real quick. I really enjoyed seeing June Scarlet and Twillie.

I wasn’t sure if this meetup would happen because at first I had a scheduling conflict with a family trip that we decided to defer to the summer. Then I found out I had a friend who volunteered there and was able to get me some details about the event he was running. Everything seemed to fall into place and I really enjoyed being able to explore, share a meal, and play a table top game with other NTWFers.

I was almost resigned to not being able to do a meetup because travel is challenging for me, so I’m forever grateful we were able to make this happen!

Twillie and I took the train together to Kansas City. It was nice because we could talk and even sketch without one of us needing to be focused on driving the whole time. It was a nice train as well, I'd take it again.

Anyway, I sketched Yibit and Jane enjoying the train.



I'd always wanted to take the train again, I've done it once, a short trip in childhood. So this was great.
