Steampunk Zafara:Now I know the style of steampunk is overdetailed machinery, but like with the Relic Kacheek I think there's too many elements here. What's really distracting my eyes is all the little rivets on the gloves, boots, helmet, and tail. They don't add much so become distracting. Like, I took it into Paint and removed all the rivets I didn't feel were necessary: Far less distracted, or at the very least my eyes go toward the parts where all the detail is. Not much to really say though another cute detail I noticed upon cleaning up the rivets: it has a spring as the heel of its shoe, lol. Twisted Roses Zafara:Huh, thinking about it a lot of the Neopian musicians don't have names. Alright then, in my headcanon, all members of the Twisted Roses are named Rose, which is how they got together and learned their shared interest in heavy metal and goth culture, but obviously they use different stage names. The Ixi is "Thorn", the Shoyru is "Petal", and finally the Zafara is "Vine". Anyway, now that we got that settled, since the members wear pretty basic clothing that's mostly all black in their actual performance, the artist took the initiative to add a bit of flare to the custom. Which, as I've said in the past, is alright and even encouraged if they feel like the addition is beneficial. So, is it here? Well, the artist certainly took "twisted roses" and ran with it. In addition to adding some red roses to the clothes, they also added plenty of thorny green stems. Not only that, but the Zafara has a rose arm tattoo, choker, and tail wrap. It's this reason why I decided to call her "Vine", since she seems wrapped around in Rose vines. Perfectly fine with that name, but otherwise feels a bit superfluous at some point (I think the choker and tattoo would have sufficed).
