Why are they selling these in August??

So I just realized that because of my move and having an early wake-up time for job duties, I'm now way closer to Euro people. Which means extended conversations with them without forcing one or the other to stay up late or wake up early is actually possible.

There's an upside to balance out losing the late-night slot and taking advantage of not having to stay up late for games.

Really wish companies would settle on that. Not only does not everyone celebrate Christmas, it gets very old very quickly.

I looking forward to creating and maintaining the thread every year. However this year I'm bracing for family stuff to come up instead. I suspect I won't be able to keep up with the thread.

I'm asking if anyone would be willing to step up and take over this year. It's a simple event to host. Make the thread, explain what's going on, link to past years, and edit the post first post with prompt lists. The latter is the part I probably can't keep up with. But I think it's a good event, so if you're interested in helping, let me know!

I could host for this year, if need be! I'm not planning on participating in any prompt lists myself this October, at least not for every day of the month, but I should be more than able to maintain and update the thread when needed :3 And I'm sure the spirit of the event will still lead me to drawing some stuff haha

The other day I was going out in the morning just as the near-full moon was setting in a pearly pink sky, and a black cat was perched on the railing of a house's balcony where it often hangs out, and it gave me the perfect black cat against moon visual.
It is a GOOD AUSPICIOUS OMEN y'all! it means that uuummm magical and witchy stuff will occur very goodly this spooky season!!

Had a very fanfiction moment today when, after completing a shopping quest, I treated myself to a cute stroll through the Flying Tiger store
There was a guy strolling through with his lady partner and they were chatting in good fun about how Halloween bespookened her but it was his favourite time of year and he was considering going as a unicorn - heck yeah -
and halfway through the shop their music started playing Dirty Dancing
and the guy started talking about how it was his favourite movie of all time and he'd seen it like fifty-seven times and he encouraged the lady to start the dance for the lulz
and they attempted the lift
and they MANAGED THE LIFT right there in the shop
he was so surprised he put her down again quickly
