So I'm "stealing" this idea from another forum I'm a member of, with permission of the author. I can't promise I'll do this every day, but if it catches on, I can do "catch up" posts. Each day, I'll post a topic, and then you can post three things you're thankful for that fit that topic. You can just list the things, or provide an explanation.
Topic 1 (11/1) Technology
1. Apps -- I'm thankful that there are so many apps now that make things a little bit easier for individuals with disabilities 2. Facebook -- I'm thankful I can stay in touch with people I don't see on a regular basis 3. Streaming -- I'm thankful that churches can stream their services for those who are homebound and can't make it in person

I am thankful for technology because without it, I would not have a job. Digital content in museums is a big thing, and a very rapidly growing, developing field, and it's awesome to involved in that.
I'm getting a new computer soon, and I cannot wait. Going to play all the video games on it. I am thankful for new computers, people who know computers, and video games to let me experience cool things I could never otherwise experience, like magic and fantasy and sci-fi worlds.

Topic 2 (11/2) November
1. Cooler weather 2. Three days off work (Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, and the day after Thanksgiving) 3. Thanksgiving and specifically the Thanksgiving service at my church. Yes, we have a service on Thanksgiving Day. It's an hour of spontaneous personal testimonies/thanksgiving and praise reports, and hymns by request. The only thing planned is the first song (maybe) and by tradition and request of the wife of the man who was MC for 30+ years before he passed, we end with God Bless America. It is seriously my favorite service of the entire year, even above Easter and Christmas Eve.

I love the cool weather of November! Especially since this year's autumn has been unseasonably humid. Hopefully the leaves keep their pretty colours and the snow won't fall till December.
Plus, this November is especially exciting: It's my 20th Neo-anniversary!! I must find ways to celebrate this grand bicentennial!

Aw, this is a really nice idea! I'm guessing it's inspired by Thanksgiving, which we don't celebrate in Mexico, so this is the perfect opportunity for me to join in! I'll catch up.
Technology
1. I'm really grateful for all the online friendships I've been able to cultivate thanks to technology, and the online communities I've found belonging in. <3 2. I'm thankful for the whatsapp groups I have with family members, so we can all keep in touch no matter the distance. 3. I'm thankful we've installed a new doorbell! The old one wasn't working, and that was a source of stress for me. I feel much better now.
November
1. We celebrate Day of the Dead in November, and it's a very lovely and meaningful holiday to me. 2. Specifically this November: I'm getting married! I'm really excited about that, and really grateful to have found a person who wants to build a life together with me. 3. I'm grateful sign-ups for the holiday card exchange are open! It's something I look forward to every year now.

Topic 3 (11/4) Articles of Clothing
1. All of my children's musical shirts. I love doing these musicals with the kids at my church, and they all remind me of those kids 2. My St. Louis Cardinals shirts. I love my St. Louis Cardinals! 3. My InterVartisy fall conference shirts. They are long-sleeved t-shirts, and just perfect for casual wear in the fall. Wish I had more like them!

Topic 4 (11/5) Teachers, Coaches, etc.
1. College English professor -- Had to talk to him after class because I was a junior taking a senior level course (at the suggestion of my advisor) and I technically didn't meet the prerequisites for that reason. I'd had him before, and this class was team taught by him and another professor. He said, "Allison, I know you. you'll be fine." Then he turned to the other professor and said, "Have you ever met Allison? I've had her in class before, and she's a good writer." I just stood there in absolute shock. Long story short, that one statement made me pursue writing. I found a website to post a story I'd written not long before that. Through that website, I met one of my best friends, plus a lot of other amazing people and discovered a passion for writing I never knew was in me. I don't write nearly as much as I used to, but still enjoy it. All from one simple statement.
2. 9th grade science teacher -- He made me feel comfortable when I came into a large (2000+ students) high school as a tiny 4'8" freshman who immediately felt intimated. He was also the FCA sponsor, and when I inquired, he asked if I was going to join. I told him I wasn't an athlete. He said, "Well, here, we like to call it Fellowship of Christian Anybodies." He was just able to connect with so many students, and was like a second dad to me that year. I've kept in touch with him ever since, and when I had hip replacement at 29 (due to hip problems earlier in my life... PM me if you're curious, because I love sharing my story and advocating) we met for lunch and he prayed over me. We still keep in touch and we're actually going to try to meet up again for lunch some time soon.
3. My high school journalism teacher/yearbook advisor who had much more of a mentor relationship than teacher (in a good way). He had us write in a journal each week and he'd write back, and we could go far beyond journalism/year book in our journals and he'd just help us navigate any problems we had. Plus, he saw my talent for writing, even if I hadn't fully realized it yet (see #1).

Topic 5 (11/6) Trips You've Taken
1. Grand Canyon and Sedona, AZ, 2002. This was a trip with my aunt and uncle, who might literally have been millionaires, but they didn't/don't act like it. This was supposed to be a family trip with just them, their grown kids and partners, and grandchildren. But their step granddaughter, who is about my age, couldn't go. So they invited me to go instead, as my high school graduation gift. They paid for everything except my souvenirs, even flying me out of St. Louis to Chicago, so I didn't have to fly the whole way alone. My uncle passed this summer, at the age of 91.
2. Trips to see my brother, sister-in-law and niece - We've done a few of these, usually meeting about half way, and it's both a time to see family and a time to explore new places.
3. Family trips to Colorado when I was growing up. I'm just going to group these together. I've always said if you forced me to move from Missouri (only place I've ever lived) then you'd better give me a mountain view from my house! I just love the mountains, and wish they were closer!

Topic 6 (11/7) Three things you can see right now. 1. My microbead pillow that I hug at night so my arms have something to do/somewhere to go. Ha! 2. My phone. I may be addicted, but I enjoy playing my games on my phone. 3. My stuffed animals

1. My weighted blanket. It's got me through some tough spots!
2. A framed photo I've kept since I was five or six years old, of me and my dad with an allosaurus skeleton (I was obsessed with dinos and it's a nice memory!)
3. My blackout curtains, which make sleeping in summer so much easier!

1) My shiny new computer, which is top of the line and I cannot wait to use once I have the infrastructure for it, like a desk, chair, and keyboard.
2) A nice glass of wine. Good reward for the end of the day, nice to relax over.
3) Thundy, who is making us dinner. :3

If it's not too late and I'm not interrupting, I'd like to add a single entry for the Technology prompt:
I'm thankful for healthcare and modern medical tech.
I had no idea how much my physical health was weighing me down and keeping me from the things I wanted to do until I found a few good doctors. I was able to get a surgery that is traditionally fraught with side effects done in a minimally invasive way by a very smart compassionate lady, and also get my ADHD treated for the first time in my life. I feel like I'm going to go into the new year with a whole new brain and body and finally do all the things I've always wanted to do.
I'm just so so thankful, and I wish you all the same sort of breakthroughs in your life and the same sort of happiness so sudden you don't know what to do with it.

Topic 7 (11/9) 3 Sounds You're Grateful For (I'm making an assumption that music is more than just a "sound" here and going with more... singular sounds?? lol)
1. Laughter, and specifically little kid and baby laughter!
2. The near silence of freshly fallen snow
3. Light rain with low rumbling thunder

1. The quiet beeping of the store alarm, reassuring me that I've closed up the place properly.
2. The sound of my mum's dog barking when I arrive at her house.
3. Birds singing outside our apartment.
