What is the NTWF? You're on it. What is DND? It stands for "Dungeons and Dragons," a popular tabletop system for roleplaying. Normally you sit around a table and do stuff, but you can also do it online. Now, a few years ago, other people have set up parties for NTWFDND, but not everyone who wanted to be a player was able to join. So, I am willing to run a campaign, with the caveat that I am a newish DM--details of what a campaign I might run might look like will come out once we've established that people actually want a new game. If this thing does happen, session one will probably be in January, after the holidays, with a session zero (or multiple session zeroes, depending on scheduling) sometime in December. So, uh, post if you're interested. Or don't post. You know, like an uncool person. Sign-ups are not open as of now; currently I am simply testing the interest waters. To clarify: people do not sign up in a first-come first-serve basis; I select from the sign-up list according to a range of criteria. "Signing up" means agreeing to be part of this selection. Also, since the range of possible time zones is quite wide, I am willing to have an asynchronous campaign if there are more than 4 people; that is, a sort of multi-party campaign. everyone in the group will be in roughly the same world/setting doing things "in parallel" with people from roughly the same area of the world. that way we don't have to get, say, Europeans and people from SEA and me to sync up.

I maaaay be interested, although it might be tricky to slot in around my life already. >> The only real free evening I have is a Wednesday, which may be nice to keep. So I'd have to see how much time I got and how tired I get. But sign me up as a maaaaybe for now. :3
And I should also say that since I am in EuroAtlantis, I am more than willing to give up a slot if there is high interest.

I'm interested but I'm usually only free on weekends.
EDIT: I WILL be the type of player who keeps asking questions every five seconds and asking "can I do this"

I'm interested, but not committed, which is perfect because this is an interest check, not a commitment.
My schedule is more consistent than it used to be, so that's good. My class wraps up in January, so that's good. I'll be job searching/possibly getting a new job once my class wraps up, so that's not good. Basically a lot of factors go into whether I'd actually be able to commit, but I am interested, at least.

This is such a lovely idea! I would be interested but, as someone who already gets to play characters in three other groups (and who DMs EuroAtlantis), I would much rather sit out so that someone who doesn't get a chance to play as much DND can do so. Especially people who missed the sign-ups for earlier NTWFDND! It's nice to have another shot, even if years later.
Hope this one ends up having some spectacular adventures!!

I'm interested for sure! I got excited about it when you mentioned it in that VC we had after games That said, I am part of the Americaland D&D group (and we actually have 2 campaigns running there), so I would also be happy to give up a slot to someone else who hasn't had a chance to play. Either way, best of luck, Moni!! =D

Octavia and I would probably be interested! We aren't in any of the NTWF groups, but we were in a local group a few months back that ended up flaking out but went on long enough for us to understand the gameplay basics (and have some character ideas). In case it makes a difference at this point, our general availability (start to end) in descending order of preference (UTC times shifting an hour earlier when DST is on, west coast North America): - UTC: Saturday morning, 00:00-11:30
(Neopian/local time: Friday evening, 4:00pm-3:30am) - UTC: Sunday morning, (23:00)-11:30
(Neopian/local time: Saturday evening, 3:00pm-3:30am) - UTC: Monday morning, (23:00)-07:30
(Neopian/local time: Sunday evening, 3:00pm-11:30pm) - UTC: Tuesday or Friday morning, 00:00-07:30
(Neopian/local time: Monday or Thursday evening, 4:00pm-11:30pm) - Limited or no availability UTC evenings (local mornings) and UTC Wednesday or Thursday morning (local Tuesday and Wednesday evenings)
Also in case it makes any difference, Octavia would want to play a Pact of the Chain Warlock, and I could do whichever class works for group balance or shenanigans (have previously played Ranger and a Wild Magic Sorcerer that never actually encountered a Wild Magic Surge).

Interested. I'm free weekends (saturday or sunday is fine with me most of the time).
December might be a issue depending on when things happen (at my work it's peak season, and they sometimes force mandatory work days on weekends), but that can change randomly and might not know ahead of time (like literally telling us a few days before).

My schedule next year is completely undetermined, but it's been a years since I've been a player and not GM, so this would be a really fun change of pace!

INTEREST!!
Hello, I am already in a Netwuffdandy, and my timezone is not an easy, but Euroatlantis is my first ever long term campaign and I have already sample-tasted Moni-DM's DMing and constantly hunger for more, so, depending how people and timezones and not-yet-in-a-campaign-priorities click together, if there's a chance of this happening at a feasible time for me, I'd be up for it \o/

I've spent some time thinking of the logistics, and here is how things will go:
There will be 2 groups of people playing in this campaign, group A and group B. group A is designed to be *most* friendly to mountain time - manila, group B is designed to be *most* friendly for EST - Europe.
GROUP A starts around 1-2am GMT (9-10am MANILA, 2-3pm NZST, 8-9pm EST, 5-6pm PST)
GROUP B starts around 6-8pm GMT (1-3pm EST)
Each group would have at most 4 members and at least 3 members, which means I would be selecting at most 8 people from those who sign up.
These groups will play in the same campaign setting in roughly the same area of the world. I'll post a nice short doc for what you might expect/what this means when sign-ups open.

Celestial Kat June Scarlet Thorn Ginz ❤ Coaster Draco Pixie LiouOkay guys, gals, and non-binary pals, sign-ups are open! Please sign up by posting in this thread or DMing me. This is separate from the interest check, and is an actual commitment. When you sign up, please answer the following questions: 1) How many DnD campaigns are you currently in? 2) Which timeslot (group A or B) works best for you? You don't have to go with your geographical timeslot; these are available for everyone. 3) Pineapple on pizza? yay or nay? The selection criteria is as follows: 1. People with less games get priority over people with more games; I am actively selecting for this, so do not filter yourself out of signing up. Only people who sign up get considered for a game. 2. People who sync more with timeslots get priority over people who may be more inconsistent. There is a possibility that I might do small, infrequent 1-1 sessions for people who don't get to play much but have bad schedules, stay tuned. If you're interested in something like this, please say so. Attached to this post is a world map and a player handout; please take a look at them before signing up. (Look in the spoilerbox.)
