As you wander home from a night and then some of pure Halloween revelry, possibly feeling the head-throbbing effects of too much candy consumption, you almost walk right into--
What IS that, anyway? A donation bin? Ah, collecting donations for the families of many dead characters killed by mafias -- how sweet.
Though, what's that BEHIND the donation bin? Oh, it's another house set up on the forum's Trick-or-Treat block. You hadn't noticed that one before.
"And with good reason," replies the head of the household as you enter the foyer. "I'm always running behind, my good fellow! Now come, come, you're just in TIME."
You are led to a giant library, but full of electrical contraptions and other farfetched and fanciful scientific instruments. Or, perhaps it's some sort of modern laboratory, but with a plethora of books. In the centre of the round room is a slab, on which numerous words from untold pages of lore and fanon have been meticulously spliced together.
With a crazed cackling, the rather insane-appearing individual -- who otherwise looks vaguely like a scientist, or maybe an archaeologist -- throws a switch, and immediately a lightning bolt strikes the disparate parchment. What was once paper is now alight with fire -- a campfire that burns bright and then dissipates as quickly as it came. In its place is a piece of paper, a page that floats up into the air with absolute unholy menace.
"IT'S ALIVE!" shouts the head of the household with glee. As you turn to flee, he waves a hand at you and beckons you back. "No, really! It's quite fascinating." He grins. "I am a digital archivist. And a demented one at that!" he proudly adds. "Like Dr. Frankenstein pieced together old tissues to make a new creature, so done have I -- with stories from the Neopian Times!" He laughs. "Breathing new life into old work. Mad? Unethical? Bah, it's (belated) Halloween!"
"Just tell me a word and a number, and we can get started. Like with apple bobbing, you're never quite sure what you're going to get from what you put in!"
You smile, nod, and back away slowly.

OK, I had this idea, ToT was extended, and after programming the script and testing it out a few times, I figure, what the heck, I'll see how it goes for the day or so remaining.
Now that I have most of the NT stories downloaded, I wrote a very simple, non-production-ready script to search the written NT stories and pull out the paragraphs containing your key word. Then, using the number you provide as a seed, the script shuffles the list.
I then take the first 3 paragraphs in the list and have the fun of manually stitching them together, with as minimal edits as possible, to form some sort of semi-coherent story snippet. As an added constraint, I will try to only include works from NTWFers (according to the list used for the automatic review thread creator), but we'll see how that goes -- so don't pick some incredibly esoteric word with few usages throughout NT history heh.
I will of course tag and link to original works.
If you'd like, feel free to interact with the head of the household, search the lab for leftover candy, or whatever else!
