Hey Chains, thanks so much for the feedback! <3 I'm glad you like the idea and the character voice!!!
It was half intentional, half...me not finishing, haha. I'm more concerned with just getting Stuff written than making everything all perfect, with weekly writing exercises. If I considered it a proper srrious piece I wanted published and was dedicating more time to it, I might have bothered to think up a more polished ending. But endings are my weak point, it would have taken me a longlong time!

Oh totally makes sense. I'm trying to spit out a finished small piece a week anyway which is my sneaky hidden motive for wanting a writing prompts group so my approach is just different.
(Endings are hard. Beginnings are hard, too. Don't get me started on the middle)

Fair! That totally makes sense. For me, I just want to get back into the habit of writing more frequently, and hopefully manage at least one original piece per week (instead of just writing about D&D all the time, because me brain, it wants me to do that.)

I'm late on this week's prompts but will hopefully still do at least one xD; I just kinda looked up and suddenly it was Friday. June Scarlet Thanks for jumping in, welcome aboard! I clicked randomly through the morph-a-word and came up with "red/lore/ring" which actually I might be able to do something with

Thanks Chains. Seeing all these random single words flooding the latest posts, wanted to put them to good use. Therefore, prompt.
Huh, I wasn't really planning on writing anything, but maybe I'll have another look at the prompts. Maybe if I look at this more as a creative writing class. It's been a few years, but I've done creative writing classes before, including drabbles and the like.

It's been One Of Those Weeks so it took me forever but I came up with something for Grab Bag! EDIT: It's up, not a complete piece this week but yeah. I kinda like the concept, might do more with it

Chains, your piece this week delights me. <3 And despite what you said, it feels finished to me! I really love your quirkier pieces.

Lizica: Your piece is so beautiful and dreamlike! <3 I especially like the metaphor of the watercolor, and the note that you can't reduce the universe to something so simple.
Don't worry about not waiting until Friday- I recall Chains saying it doesn't really matter when you post anyway. As for using old prompts: dunno about anyone else, but I'm super happy to see what people do with mine, even if it's weeks after! So thanks for this piece, it was really cool!

Hey I'm a dingus and forgot to update this past Friday, but I also don't actually have any prompts on hand and didn't get anything done for this past round. Do you guys want to go ahead and do another round with half the week left, or just extend to this coming Friday and I'll update it then?

I'm okay to just wait until this upcoming Friday! I'm not sure if I'll do any prompts this month anyway, I'll probs be focussing on OCtober.

Yeah, this week kinda hit me in the gut and head, so I'm fine postponing till next week. I notice there's some overlap with OCtober, though. There may be more attention towards that for the time being. EDIT: Also, because I am a doofus, I noticed I'm behind on reviews! Might get to the others later, but I particularly wanted to comment on Lizica's, for her piece and because it's the first one here from her! I really enjoyed reading this piece, Lizica! You've got some great imagery there, that really transported me to where the speaker was, in all of that place's wonder. The strong metaphors really helped too, and makes me wonder if they helped inspire the mental image of the piece. It all came together really well and beautifully for me. ^^
