I'm about half-way done myself. I've got one figure fully drawn and colored, just need to figure out what to do for the second figure.

Ah, Moni , those are both fantastic! Jess is lovely, and Taffy is cute, and the tail on the Guinea pig made me laugh. One time for a birthday I made up a game called "Pin the Tail on the Guinea Pig," where the twist was since Guinea Pigs don't have tails, you got to make your own tail out of ribbons and other crafty items I provided. It was a lot of fun, I think my favorite was my cousin's, where he explained that Guinea Pigs do have tails, but they're so small you can't see them, which is good because they're so awesome if you saw them you'd go blind. Great memory. Anyway, yeah, I like the alien Guinea Pig, it's a lot of fun. And the background is a lot of fun too. Planet top hat, so creative! All the little planets and stars! Beatrice is beautiful. The hair is so floofy and curly and gorgeous. The hat is a lot of fun. I love the way the brush pen has ink coming off it. The dress is so pretty, and all the belts really add to the steampunk feel, as do the colors. It's so well done, thank you!
I have two pieces as well! Lizica , I present the many forms of Madge! First off I have Madge the spy. I admit I don't have a great story for this one, just that I kept coming back to the idea in my sketches. I have the feeling Madge wouldn't make a great spy, she's too conspicuous. But it was fun designing her elegant look, with the dress inspired by her apron. And why bubbles? Well, I had to put something in her hand, and bubbles seemed like a good family-friendly alternative. And secondly, I have Madge the potion seller. This one isn't nearly as out of character, because she's back in her element of selling things for profit! Does she actually make the potions? Nah, she has a supplier for that, but she still dresses the part of a potion maker. And because this is a fantasy setting, Madge gets a magical bag of holding for all her products instead of having to cart around a bike everywhere. I had a lot of fun rereading Madge's story, and designing these outfits.

Aaaaahhh, these are so great, June Scarlet!! I love them, thank you!! =DD The concepts are just so fun and creative--you're right, Madge would probably make for a terrible spy, but it's just so much fun to imagine! xD And it's a really clever idea to design her dress based on her apron! It's a classy look that works so smoothly. (Maybe the bubbles would make for an innocuous distraction device? Like, "Alright, I've just stolen the MacGuffin, time to blow soapy bubbles in the guards' faces and high heel it outta here." xD) And the potion seller one! What a great idea, that does sound like exactly what she'd be doing if she was in a fantasy setting. XD I love the floppy hat and the entire outfit, and I also really like the composition in this one--the abstract background swatch is a really nice touch. And also, the bag of holding is excellent, so handy! Thank you so much, June!! These drawings and designs are so much fun, I kinda want to draw/doodle them sometime. They're so cool. <3 I'm really happy to hear that you had fun rereading her story and doing these, too, aaaah. (My piece is not ready for today, but I'm getting there! I might see if I can also make shorter comments on everyone's pieces at the end, but I wanted to comment on June's at least for now! Moni, yours are just gorgeous!! *_*)

I finished my entry. \o/ Thorn , this one is for you. So, bit of backstory. When I was first deciding on what to draw, my first idea was for Zazz in a romance novel cover with River. I tried to come up with a new idea because I had already drawn Zazz and wanted someone else. I was drawn to Astrophelle because I love her design and have wanted to draw her for a while. However, I had no ideas...until I thought about her character more and realised what would be perfect. What genre suits a bleeding-heart do-gooder who puts her own welfare above others? Why, a paragon superhero, of course! Behold! Outfit draws inspiration from Captain Marvel's suit, hoplite armour and her actual outfit for the colours. Kept her eyes non-glowy despite her wings being out so she looks friendlier and kinder. 30 cents because I was trying to make the cover look more Silver Age than it ended up being. The name Angel Star...well, it should be obvious, hopefully. =P This was not originally going to be a comic cover. I had gotten to shading the base image when I had the idea. It took a bit of extra effort, including downloading two brand new fonts to my computer, but I am happy with the result. Also had a ton of fun with the sparkly star brushes and cloud textures that CSP has available.

(I am going to comment on everyone else's work later, but just Celes for now!) Celes! This is amazing ahhhh!!! You got her hair just so perfectly right, with that shift between colours (even applied it to the eyebrows! Aaaa!)...her sparkly skin with the red mark on her cheek and everything...and managed to adapt her canon colour scheme to this. Wonderful. Superhero attire. (Honestly flipping out a bit over these wings ahhhhh? And good call! Her magic glowy eyes are definitely kind of scary. Makes sense to give her normal eyes right here.) Also, Angel Star is a perfect name. xD (reminds me of our discussion about my belief that her angelic guide, Evlavei, could actually be a star.) The little winged star emblem is so sweet! Thank you so much. <3 This is, also, the first time I've seen Astrophelle depicted full-body besides the little minis I paint for her (which are nowhere near this detailed and awesomesauce ahhhhhh!!!), so that's extra exciting too!! EDIT: Just realised...you painted the clouds as well? =O Legit thought the background was a photo. Such perfect floofy clouds!!

I did my best to try to make Astro as close to her regular self as possible. Because she already is very close to a superhero: all I had to do was make her an outfit and give her a superhero moniker. That's where I got the name. =D Well, that and the fact that she is starry. The emblem, once the name was solidified, was a no-brainer. It's simple but gets the message across. =O I did not realise this was her only full-body picture. I am honoured to have done that first! Alas, no, the clouds were not painted but they were a material I downloaded for CSP. Basically a stamp. I did airbrush the gross pixelly bits to make the clouds look softer but mostly, it was pre-made. Sorry.

Liou , I had the pleasure of drawing for you! 💖 So, here's the thing... when I read your list of preferred genres and saw you listed "adorable land of rainbows and picnics with happy animal friends" my mind went directly to Animal Crossing because in my opinion, that's a very fitting description for it! I was a bit unsure about whether I should go with that, because I don't think you play it. But I hope you'll still enjoy seeing your characters as AC villagers! I drew both of them partly because I couldn't decide who I wanted to draw more, and partly hoping it would make up for choosing a bit of a self-indulgent 'genre'/style. So without further ado, here they are! Zenith: I took liberties with their superhero outfit, opting to draw them in an outfit that exists in the game that's called a Zap Suit, so it seemed fitting, haha. I just modified it to match Zenith's color scheme! Tally (& bae) I feel so honored I got to draw the adorable drow gfs I love them they're so precious!! <3 I hope I did them justice! I hope you like them!!

Ginz, Yzzy's sandals look too hecking cute in this style, ahhhhh! <3 And, finally responding to Celestial : Yeah! Well, Laguna's DM did a nice surprise sketch of Astro full-length, but that didn't show her starry skin or pretty hair or the other extra super duper fab details you managed to include. So I wouldn't count that as a full reference. Besides that, Moni and an irl friend have done headshots.
Haha, no worries about the clouds! I just misinterpreted your last message as meaning you painted them. They do look lovely though! <3

Mine is forrrrrr...the one and only Pixie! =DDD Surprise, GM buddy! I got super into it. I really hope you like it!! ^^ Scaletta doesn't need a mask in this noir AU because her fedora always casts exactly the right shadow. =O I'm so sure I remember you already having a logo designed with the G-clef somewhere, but I dug around and for the life of me, I couldn't find it anywhere. x'D And I didn't want to ruin the surprise and ask, so I just kinda added the little subtle snake flourish to the regular G-clef there. I hope it works! And also, shout-out to my mom for striking a chord on the piano (and the ironing board) and holding it while I buzzed around her taking paparazzi reference photos of her hands. (I kinda fudged the piano keys a bit, so I apologize to anyone who's seeing their instrument messed up. xD) It felt a little weird that this had so little levity, so I also doodled this thing as a bonus. x3

At that black and white masterpiece, color me an awe-stricken co-GM, faced with the task of trying to put into words how much I love this thing! Lizica , you have outdone yourself! As I opened the forum near midnight to double check some April Showers stuff and opened a notification to this thread--I may have straight-up cackled. How wonderful and improbable! I was shocked that my household slept through my cackling. Once I rebooted, I was just plain impressed. This genre swap is just so clever, fitting, and well done conceptually and technically. The composition is gorgeous, dynamic and musical. The forms were also just perfect and super polished, from the B & W version of the Serpetine Sisters logo to the buttons on the trenchcoat. Using dramatic hat shadows for a mask is just so clever. And the photo references definitely paid off, because, hands! Hands are so hard to draw, and they look stellar. You really captured her confidence and determination!
Really, there's not a detail out of place. Even the typesetting is aesthetically perfect. And oh my Woo, all that wordplay-- witty and perfectly noir.
For any fears it was too serious, as I'm the one person here who expressed appreciation of the horror genre, I didn't mind the grim n' gritty tone of the main piece. It was super cool and hopeful enough! I did really appreciate and laugh my butt off at the doodle comic. It was a second gift that kept on giving, because I kept thinking of it throughout the day and having more spontaneous laughter. Some trivia: Imgur seemed aware of the comic's dark tone, because the image link beings with "KILR", which would be too fitting if it wasn't pure Ranumgen.

This one's for you, Celestial ! =D When I read about Meallan's relationship with Malka, somehow my brain came up with the idea of, "Okay, but what about this as a classic teen film?" Specifically, I was thinking of older movies like Heathers, where it's got the dark premise but it's still visibly of its time. While finding movie poster inspiration, though, I ended up using reference from teen films of the 80's, 90's, and 00's, so this is kinda a mashup of decades rather than mimicking just one like I originally planned xD I am so sorry about Meallan's hair and just his... everything else xD
