I'm also Rank 2 now but I feel too lazy to get to rank 3 today.
I keep listening to Queen for all these games, especially for YYB.

I'm Rank 8 currently xd Here's a secret I just learned this year: The enemy AI has blind spots. You can exploit its behavior to rack up easy Yooyuball wins. If you're going against a team with a 1+3 formation, grab the ball, shoot it past their forward, then grab it again and shoot it into the net, scoring 1 goal. After that, if the second ball is Fire, you'll have to score another goal. But if it's Snow, you can grab it, run back toward your own goal and just camp on top of your goalie. What'll happen is their 3 defenders will stay behind the center line, and their lone forward will just stand there confusedly not knowing what to do. You can read or multitask while waiting out the rest of the match (around 2 mins 40ish seconds). If you're going against a team with a 3+1 formation, do the same method for scoring 1 or 2 goals. Then, grab the ball, shoot it past their 3 forwards, grab it again and run down and right into a corner. What'll happen is their 3 forwards will continue charging to your side of the court, while their lone defender chases you. Then, the defender will stand confusedly on top of you not knowing what to do. The 3 forwards will hover uselessly on your side of the court for the rest of the match. I haven't figured out an easy camping spot for teams with 2+2 formations, but I did notice that when I tried camping on top of my own goalie, what normally happens is the two forwards will approach, bit by bit, and then one of them will start zigzagging up and down until it finally "finds" me.

Er, not sure about that "camping" strategy. If I recall, only goals you score count, they don't like subtract points of give points to your opponents if they get any goals for games you played. Essentially what's added to your Rank is what's contributed, everything else is just filler data. And because of this, it's better to play the game as intended. Every goal you score takes 8 seconds off the clock. Now that's because it takes into account all the "cutscene" that plays (scene of scoring the goal & the new Yooyu coming into play), but since you can skip the latter cutscene a game of Yooyuball actually only takes about like 2 minutes instead of 3 if you score a lot. If you need some strategies look up some Youtube videos ( like this one), though generally just snatching the Yooyu, running to the bottom of the screen, running toward your opponent's goal, and diagonally throwing it into their goal works like over 90% of the time. For Darigan Yooyu I found the best "strategy" for that is to run up to the wall below the opponent's net and just full power throw the ball. HOPEFULLY the Darigan Yooyu decides to either shoot itself up or down and bounce itself into the opponent's goal. Also, while I know TNT says everyone's contribution counts and doesn't hurt the team, it does have a negative effect on one aspect at least: Top Goal Scorer. Since those are calculated game-by-game, if you only score one goal with your team's "leading" Forward you're contributing an average of one goal per game to the Top Goal Scorer counter. Granted the Top Goal Scorer doesn't really mean much in the end, though usually the top player has an item made after them so if you'd like to see your team's lead Forward have something like a bobblehead or figurine (and they already haven't) this may not be something you want to do. I've been in our group and hearing everyone getting to Rank 4/5 already is putting a lot of pressure on me and I'm like I'M JUST A FILTHY CASUAL FANGIRL...I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF TIME OR ENERGY... Don't feel pressured to play more than you want. This is your free time you're choosing to spend playing. Every little bit helps your team, the only thing that is being lost out on is extra points to spend in the prize shop. Anyway, since I've yet to do it this yet: GO MERIDELL!

The max I'm able to score using my grab-shoot-grab-shoot method is 14 goals per game if I get lucky with fire yooyus. Normally it'd be around 10-12. But, it's hard on my wrist to keep doing these repetitive actions for 46 games per day. I don't want to develop carpal tunnel, and I also feel like I shouldn't be wasting too much attention playing games when there are better things I need to be doing. At the same time, I also want points to spend in the prize shop... so that's why I developed the multitasking method. It did take me some trial-and-error to figure out. Hopefully some folks will find it helpful. According to this reddit post, it doesn't matter if you score 1-0 or 12-0. A Yooyuball win is a Yooyuball win for the purposes of your rank and your prize points. (Team standing is another topic entirely, one that I personally don't care about. Perhaps you could say I'm a Chaotic Good or even Chaotic Neutral. xd)

Indeed you get a batch for just playing a game of Yooyuball to the end, but each goal is an additional bonus point I believe. I think it's the only AC game that does that though. If you don't have wrist problems or have other things to do it still worth then trying to get at least some additional goals. Pure personal gain I would say is True Neutral. "Chaotic" would you intentionally trying to convince other players to not play as much to affect the team's scores. You do not care who wins or loses, you just want prize points. You can maybe push Neutral Good if you see giving this advice helping others like you who have wrist problems or don't have the time to actually play but still want to participate/earn prize points. Every game does help your team as you said, though each additional goals/higher scores helps even a little bit more.

I did end up joining Team Roo, and I just got to level 1. I feel I will be doing well to reach level 3, just because I don't like any of the games well enough to play for any significant period of time. I'm not great at YYB and am done after about 3 games. I'm done after 6 Slushie Slinger games, and about 12 of the others. Or, at least that what I've done so far today, and today's been my best day. So... yeah. I'm like... the tortoise/sloth/snail. Probably sloth, due to the motivation factor. lol

please give Windelle a bobblehead or a figure PLEASE I WOULD DIE My Meridell Gallery has been waiting for that! TNT Staff Tournament:And while today we rest (which I kind of like, having during the weekday when some have work instead of the weekend when we have time to play), the TNT Staff Tournament starts up! Now TNT have told us a bit about some of the new players... but let's be honest we're all still picking DJ Skellington, Senor Malo, Kikocat, Scrappy, & Binary Supagoo (at least for the first few rounds). BTW, don't forget to refresh the page after picking your team as you'll then be asked to pick the "Star Player" for that round.

(I did miss a lot when I was absent from ten Altador Cups...) I looked up the TNT Staff Tournament and I'm like...I don't recognize all of them. Guess I'll just go random and see where that takes me. kanyeshrug.gif

Windelle figure will probably be released next year as prizes for winning teams tend to be delayed to the following prize shop. It'll probably be a Pryterial Action Figure this year.

...Of course, this presupposes that Meridell hangs on to its early lead to clinch the championship.
Prytariel is cute though, she deserves a figure.

It's pretty likely -- Meridell has SOTAC this year. The only real challenge to that power in the finals bracket appears to be KL this year.

DC is in third, I'd be thrilled if we can hold onto that honestly. I've never actually been in a top three team in my life. xD;
