Great, you're going to get me attached to those tomatoes now xD The way my grandma did it - and the way I intend to do it as the most foolproof method I have - is to leave the two strongest plants in each pot and eventually, once they grow bigger, pluck out the weaker of the two. So we'll get some very unlikely couples for a while.
also, I wouldn't place too many bets on Plucky Sidekick, m'justsaying.

Wanted to share this cute, optimistic song about quarantine and social distancing!

Expectation: I have so much time! I will do... all the things!
Reality: I am AAAALL over the place, have five new ideas for delightfully useless things to do and it is now tomorrow!
Hey thread, the sun is back here today after almost a week of non-stop rain and gloomy darkness and it was very very miserable, and I had a scare when my fitness class almost moved to Zoom, ew, like one of those unpleasant surprise updates that are all "hey, we changed everything that worked just fine, and now you can't find anything, you're welcome #progress", but teacher had the good sense to keep broadcasting on FB and Zoom didn't even work anyway. So many technological panic attacks this week. I have chocolate cake as compensation from the universe.

I am glad the universe saw fit to grant you chocolate cake, at least! =D
Our weather's been very 'sun one day, rain the next'- you never know what's going to happen, lots of fun. It's sunny today though, so I can actually go for A Walk.

I got groceries!!
And I found another place I can go to if I need food without worrying too much about safety because the place clearly cares about safety!
And I got pizza! That's actually fresh and isn't a frozen pizza!!
That last one doesn't sound like much, but you don't understand.
Last February, I was also basically stuck at home for entirely different reasons, and I promised myself that if that ever blew over, I would get pizza. Something good. It blew over... But the pandemic blew in. And that promise to myself has hung ever since, begging for my attention.
So it's actually a huge thing that I was able to get some.
Sure, I made a compromise on what was on it, but honestly, I'm really happy with what I got.
(I missed going outside. Maybe I'll go out of town sometime. Because you don't have to go far to find yourself in the middle of nowhere, here. Just gotta find the trails less traveled.)

Trying out some pretty trails sounds lovely! We're not currently allowed to leave our town/city, but thankfully I have some pretty local walking places I can use.

Need some Fun Activities(tm) to enjoy easily at home during lockdown? Look no further! Take a bucket of water, dump it on your floor, then mop it all up!
(Hi my mum slipped with a water bucket this morning and created a surprise pool in the kitchen and we spent the morning giggling with mops.) (I hear that some people are... bored... while staying home. I do feel sorry for them but I... cannot relate.)

Bleh. So on Friday I went to get groceries and noticed that my normal tolerance for people has gone from "I can bear you around" to "IF THE WORD HATE WAS ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOANGSTROM OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF MILES IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE-BILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR HUMANS AT THIS MICRO-INSTANT FOR YOU."
This is not a good sign. (Thankfully you all don't count as "people")

Weirdest visitation I've ever been to. Only ten people allowed in the room at a time, so people sort of hung around in hallways and various rooms of the funeral home. People didn't stick around much either, to make room for more people.
Still, it was so nice to see my extended family again. I missed seeing them for Easter, and in general. It's such a sad thing it had to be for this reason, though.

The effect this crisis has had on funerals is one of the saddest things (in terms of social gatherings affected, I mean.) I'm sorry you needed to attend something like that at this time, June.
