Do you guys have a price ceiling for quests? Like, if you get a quest for an item that turns out to cost a certain sizeable amount, do you just abandon it?
This air faerie quest is going to set me back by 55k so I'm thinking of abandoning it.

Unless it’s the fountain faerie, I’m not spending more than 10k xD. I guess I’ve been lucky to not have any quests above that so far.

I'll usually cancel a quest if the cost of doing so would be more than the value of the codestones I'd have to pay for training otherwise. Though considering that my Battledome pet currently needs seven brown codestones per session and is approaching the point that she'll need eight, that means that I'll do nearly any Faerie Quest that comes my way. XD
Though unless things have changed in recent years, I think Movement (The stat that the air faerie gives) is pretty useless -save for some specific circumstances- isn't it? I wouldn't know; I really only do single player Battledome for the prizes.

I wouldn't know; I really only do single player Battledome for the prizes. That's also why I was asking; I always remembered that movement doesn't do anything in the BD and I'm wondering if it's still the same now. I'm still rebuilding my account from zero, so there's also that. (I need to think of codestones again.) I only shelled out 18k once because it was a FFQ. I abandoned the air faerie quest and got a fire faerie one instead. I hope this item won't set me back too bad.

This air faerie quest is going to set me back by 55k so I'm thinking of abandoning it. I think by the time I got an air faerie quest, I was kinda going through the motions, so I had dropped 13k-20k (or more, I had like two slightly pricy ones) before I really registered what I had done. But then again, I suppose I wanted to get the rest of the dialogue. Plus, I’ve become slightly more sympathetic to air faeries ever since I wrote a story about one who was sad no one would do her quests, so sometimes I feel guilty, lol. For this event, I guess my ceiling is 100k though it depends for which faerie. Surprising, since normally I’m really cheap, haha. But uh, yeah, the others gave good advice, and I find myself following that line of reasoning too for the more expensive ones (over 50k).

Let's do some quick math to possibly answer the question on hand. As many have said, the "NP ceiling" for a Quest would likely be if it would cost more to complete the quest then train your Neopet. THING TO REMEMBER: A normal Faerie Quest raises a stat by +3. Except for the Light Faerie who raises Level by +2. Special Faeries who also raise stats usually do so by more, you can check JN's Faerie Quest guide for more info. So, how do you determine how much NP you should spend? Well, first check how many Codestones you'll need to increase a stat in the Training School. Once you got that number, let's figure out the average NP cost of a Codestone: Bri: 2.4k Eo: 18.9k Har: 3.1k Lu: 5.2k Main: 2.1k Mau: 3k Orn: 3.2k Tai-Kai: 3.4k Vo: 4k Zei: 9.4k Total: 54.7k Average: 5.5k NOTE: Obviously this is just for the normal Training School that's run by the Techo Master. The Secret Ninja Training School's average is 27.3k if you're wondering. So, if you use the basic Training School, the cost of the quest shouldn't go above the value of these formula (where X is the number of Codestones you need to to train up in a stat): Fire/Water/Earth/Air/Darkness/Grey: (5,500 + X) * 3 = Cost Light: (5,500 * X) * 2 = Cost Soup: (5,500 * X) * 4 = Cost Space: (5,500 * X) * 5 = Cost Battle: (5,500 * X) * 9 = Cost Fyora: (5,500 * X) * 12 = Cost As you can tell, most of the time a Faerie Quest is very much worth the cost as it'll be cheaper then training. Of course, there is another thing that was pointed out: is the Air Faerie quest worth doing? At this very moment, no. Movement does nothing. Before they converted the Battledome it was recommended you train your Neopet up to 201 Movement so that you could have the option to use the Heavy Robe of Thievery, the best stealing BD equipment (unfortunately the stealing mechanic has been disabled since the new BD was introduced). So, if you want to, you can decide to skip out on the Air Faerie quest if you feel she's asking too much for a stat that has no purpose. That said, things could change, the Movement stat is just sitting there and at any moment TNT could use it for something that may make it worthwhile to have a decent/good/high Movement stat (maybe more stat-based BD equipment, maybe a new Daily or site feature, I don't know I'm just throwing out ideas). So while you may be tempted to roll your eyes when an Air Faerie comes up to you, I'd say first see how much the item she wants costs. If it's not too much, maybe even using my above formula to guide you, why not do it? That's my viewpoint anyway.

Trudy's Surprise nets me so much on a daily basis that on the whole I'm really not very fussed about how much I spend, until it hits like, six figures. At the same time I'm not much of a battledomer so I'm more likely to abandon the regular faerie quests if they get too pricey. Fyora, Aethia, Baelia and the Fountain Faerie (does she have a name? she better have a name. *dig dig* Naia, there we go) get pretty much unrestricted budget, though. They don't tend to ask for much anyway. Speaking of which, getting some good comedy again.

Soup Faerie for me. I did forget to get her dialogue for when you don't have the item yet, though. Whoops. :/

You gotta be kidding...
The item is dirt cheap, too. Dang it, though; now I gotta hurry up and figure out what to do with the Rainbow Fountain access I got earlier this event! XD
EDIT: Added in the additional dialogue

"The fire is receding. Wow. This'll certainly need looking into. This lantern could use some serious study."
For your efforts, jane_scarlet's defence has increased! * And there's my water faerie.
Okay, quests done for today!

Can someone look up Red Poppies for me? The gardening shop is stocked with poppies but THEY ARE NOT THE CORRECT COLOR...
I feel a bit shy asking on the Neoboards again after the last person who helped me gifted the item to me instead, and it cost 24k NP.
