Ten years; I can't begin to fathom how much things have changed in the last decade. Ten years ago, Neopets was a much more active website; full of life and fun. It was at this time I stumbled upon a certain forum dedicated to The Neopian Times and other creative outlets for Neopets.
Yes; ten years ago on this day, I joined the NTWF!
While this is a great milestone to recognize, I'm a bit disheartened to look back to 2009 and see how much things have changed since then. I miss those old days when Neopets was alive and fun. It's unfortunate that everything will eventually fade with time; it's more unfortunate that I have no choice but to watch it fade away before my eyes.
Of course, while I mourn the lost glories of the past, I always hope that the future will bring better things. Who knows; maybe one day Neopets will, like a phoenix, rise from the ashes and be enjoyable again.
Well, today is the day I recognize how I discovered the NTWF ten years ago. It's remarkable that this day has come; how it's been this long since I joined. I have experienced many blessings in the last ten years; I can only hope the years to come will bring the same kind of blessings as the previous years.
Thank you, my friends. I can't imagine going through the last ten years without the NTWF and I wouldn't wish such a scenario on myself. I don't know what the future holds but the memories I have made here will help carry me for many, many years.
