So I was trying to log in on a whim recently, to check out this new mobile game I've been hearing about, but...turns out my account got hacked into, likely sometime last year. Whoever did it is still using it and has fed the koadoaties about 40 times and gotten a bunch of flash game trophies apparently. 0.o (Gee, I wonder if they're using more hacks for those...) I've been in contact with support, but they're asking me for the email I started the account with because the hacker is apparently still actively using the account. That's nigh on twenty years ago when I was just a baby in middle school (now I am 30...), so heck if I know. I know this is kind of a long shot and probably not the right place for this, but, does anyone here know of what other information that could be useful to them to verify it's me? I have old receipts for neocash and premium, I've been HERE for quite a while, I have some other old accounts with the same current email and that holds one of the pets that used to be on my main. I just hate to lose the account...it's more than 17 years old. The hacker got rid of all my old pets, but a lot of those old event trophies I can never get back, and aizar is my name in a lot of my haunts online... sigh.

First of all, if you've not checked it out already, this is an excellent thread for any issues with accounts that are gone. If you cannot give them your original email, any information that nobody but the owner of your account can know is good. The more, the better. Old passwords you remember, the receipts you have for Neocash and premium, items in your inventory or SDB, bank balance, anything like that. Good luck. I hope you manage to get your account back. It must be annoying and upsetting to have it be used like that by someone else, I'm sorry.

From what I've heard, they really want that original email, though I would also throw in all the stuff Celestial mentioned. But they also allow more than one guess. So if you have a few emails that it could have been, go ahead and try them all. Because I have heard of people not remembering at first, but later guessing correctly. But they probably also provided plenty of other info as well.

Thank you. I have all those receipts, old pet names, old passwords, etc, and have said so, but they keep asking for just the email. I'm a bit upset that they use a policy like that when they're dealing with a client base that has been with them for 15+ years; it's seems a bit unreasonable to expect us to remember things from that long ago,especially when email clients have been in such flux (aol, yahoo, msn have all closed down or merged; though I'm not the sort to, I know a lot of people change email addresses frequently too.)...buuuuuut I'm just ranting now. Waiting for the reply on my latest guess, fingers crossed...thank you for the help!

Well, I had to get a little uppity, but I got it back!! <confetti> Can't replace the pets, poor things. My gallery was cleaned out, even my friend list, and they somehow got into and changed my PIN number. EDIT. Oh. Wait. The PIN was put in by Support. Oops. My old one apparently did protect stuff in my shop and SDB at least. It feels so good to have my name back again.
