Is it a goodboi? Yes it is! I sorely need to finish painting this mini...sorry Yazdriirn! I need to finish by next Friday, since he'll be wandering around with the Trash Squad/Snail Wizards that evening's session.

A.V. Alektos (this is her miniature for later in the campaign, I'll use the current one a bit longer yet. I won't paint most of this mini until closer to the time I actually need it, I just wanted to try painting some eyes with my magnifying lampthing. Stuffed it up a few times since, but am happy I could at least get the rough eyeshape better with this thing!)

Two drow minis for a game on Friday! Yazdriirn (he/him) is the man (on the left) whose boyfriend the party agreed to save, so he'll be tagging along with them for the next session or two while they do that. Karaz'thalar'arganvaum (he/him) on the right is a guy who works at the party's favourite (by default, as there are no others nearby) inn. Yazdriirn is generally a decent guy. Karaz is...a terrible awful thug, but uhh he's shown mild improvement after being defeated and then spared by the Trash Squad!! The faces are horrifying and I have not given them any amount of detail, ignore that and plz see instead how nicely the dustiness on Yaz's cloak worked out! Looks so good! I am happy with that effort.

Another drow WIP (wow, I bet you are so very surprised!! =O) With Hesperos and Clover visible in the background. Depending on how many portals the party use, they could meet this dude in two or three sessions, so I'm working on him now. Otherwise, if they don't use portals, it could still take a few months. Anyway! This dude is a necromancer and loyal advisor to his sister, who is the local commander of his house's forces. He may need Bart (the PC necromancer)'s help to fulfil a promise he made to his sister, which involves summoning a demon to destroy their enemies. Not exactly elegant, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! Prolonged time spent in Undermountain, where the campaign is set, messes with people's thoughts in various ways. This guy has become paranoid, and sees threats to his sister and her unborn child everywhere. At least one dude (the kid's father, wow such drama, this bit is actually straight from the module itself) has been locked up on very little evidence. Will the party bother to look into this? Can they help him realise he's not thinking straight? Who knows! I guess I'll find out at some stage when they get to this part of the campaign.

Two days to finish these minis and decorate the bases before Early Christmas at me dad's house! The kiddo who was previously playing the tortle changed his mind a couple sessions back and made a new character, a human paladin lady called Rose. So uh. I ended up buying a WizKids mini because no way was I organising another custom at such short notice, but the face is...much nicer...on the Wizkids mini. xD Ah well, hopefully the kidduns won't really notice if I make the paint nice enough? They are getting dice too (a set of dice and a mini each), so should be a nice gift all up! The white dice are going with the tiefling because white is his rper's fave colour, the green set is going with Clover the elven ranger because it matches her armour, and the yellow set will be for the roleplayer of the paladin in the middle- which is great, because yellow is part of her colour scheme, I just haven't added it yet.)

Three bold adventurers, now much closer to being ready to be gifted! From left to right, we have: Clover (she/her): my sister's beastmaster ranger and rebellious princess! Rose (she/her): my kiddo stepbrother's vengeance paladin and mischievous pirate! The pattern on her shield was his own design, I took a sneaky pic of the character sheet before painting. Compassion (he/him): the youngest kiddo's tiefling warlock of the archfey! His patron is his mum, he is half tiefling and half fey.

Third post today, but it's the last one and I don't do this often, so I figure it's alright. I ordered materials for Dawn (druid PC in a new campaign at a local game store), but they'll arrive Tuesday at the earliest. To tide myself over, I decided to do a little bit of painting on Astrophelle's next mini (which I'll start using around level 10.) I don't want to paint too much of it this far in advance- I want room to add in cool extra details! For example, if her brother or her friend Sky die in this current arc (which is possible! One of them might kill the other! Argh, we ended last session on that cliffhanger!!), Astro may incorporate aspects of their colour scheme into her attire- red for Amadeus, or bright blue for Sky. But I did feel comfortable base-painting her boots dark blue, and so today I did. Recently, Astrophelle bought some boots that grant the user resistance to lightning damage. This will be very useful against the storm dragon the Dragonwatch are currently pursuing! Unfortunately, they originally made the user levitate if they took lightning damage, thanks to a weird little curse. During a quest to remove the curse, Astrophelle ended up having to activate her wings to counteract the weird levitation-y boots, which was wonderful! I love finding unusual uses for that ability. ANYWAY, yes. The boots. Have been painted (and also de-cursed, yes.) They're apparently made of behir hide, hence the dark colour. I'll eventually drybrush with a brighter blue to give it a closer look to the official behir art, and to make it more clearly distinct from her deep blue skin tone. Need to get rid of these mold lines...not too bothered about the boots but will do so for the hood, shoulder and cape. (I still love the pose of this mini so very much ahhHHHH, such a sense of conviction!) Closer view of the boots themselves. I really love this blue a lot!

Put together the mini for my new druid (level 4, Circle of Stars), Dawn Summersong (she/they)! I would be playing my second session as her tomorrow, but the game was cancelled, so instead I'll play her again Wednesday week. This game is in-person at a local hobby store, so I really wanted to make myself a nice mini for it! Figure is composed of two of the minis below: Bottom left mini in this pic: Top right mini in this one:

End of day progress on Dawn! Rough base colours complete. Will wait until I get some finer brushes to better detail the face (I wanna tidy up the eyes and maybe try dot on their freckles.) I am very happy with how the hair turned out, I was going for a nice naturalish looking auburn and it actually looks so good! I am going to attempt to turn the flame in their hand into a miniature galaxy- Circle of Stars druid and all that. One of my PCs loves the stars, the other is stars- I'm sure Dawn and Astro would get along fabulously! (and then Sivuro uhhh...probably thinks the stars are pretty idk. xD)

End of day progress on Dawn. They're meant to be scruffy, so I've been working on un-tidy-ing their clothes. xD EDIT: painted some little stars onto the pouch at her side (which contains her star chart), and then got a photo with a barely-started future Astro mini as well (the latter is saved under 'starry eyed' on my laptop.) EDIT 2: HEY LOOK EYES! The head is smaller than my fingernail, so I'm so happy with how this has turned out as my first time painting eyes!

Dawn Summersong again! I get to play my second session with them tomorrow, and am pretty excited at the chance to play my "OMG MAGIC!!!" druid kid in combat (didn't get to try out any of their many, many cool abilities last session because they were helping organise a big party at a magic academy, but now the party is over with and the academy ready to hire adventurers for quests again!)

Been working on painting/tidying up tiny eyes with a new, tiny brush! It is an exercise in patience. My laptop is to give some vague sense of scale.

Actually really happy with how this is coming along, even though it is tricky to get used to how fiddly newbrush is.
