First decent pictures in a long time- yay for decent lighting!!! I didn't really do anything for pride month...and now it is over. =( But! 2/3 of these WIP minis represent LGBT+ characters (and the third I know nothing about, so shouldn't rule him out either) so, I guess...happy late pride? (left-right)
Karaz'thalar'arganvaum Saiveleth (he/him)- I know barely anything about this dude. He's a drow NPC from our Trash Squad campaign, he was sent with some friendos to capture Bart'leh and...didn't do so well. He was the first enemy this party ever let go, however, so I figured that means he deserves his own mini and to come back some time! He's probably found some nice new friends to hang out with in the sketchy town the party last saw him in, since he's reluctant to go home after his failure. Revelation (he/him)- tiefling priest/druid! Yes there is currently cat fur stuck to his shoulder, but it seems appropriate that the druid would be stuck with this, haha. I love his colour scheme so much! He's another NPC in the Trash Squad campaign, who said squad are currently searching for, as they promised to deliver a letter from his sister. He happens to currently be hanging out with some people the party want to find for other reasons, unsuccessfully trying to keep them out of trouble. How convenient! Rev is a trans man- happy belated pride, tree-hugger dude! Astrophelle Valentina Alektos (she/her)- gets her full name for once because it is wonderfully lengthy. Astrophelle is my current player character in an irl D&D campaign, an aasimar paladin. Her outfit in this image is the sort of attire she would wear in her capacity as a dancer and entertainer. She is also asexual- happy belated pride, my ace-imar child! This mini is taking me a long time as I want it to be Just Perfect (TM), but it'll be worth it in the end.

Latest work on Astrophelle's mini. Almost done now! Minus the breastplate and staff, this is her outfit for a party the characters are going to next session. Looking forward to it, and I'll be bringing this mini to use for the duration of the event! Compared to her standard adventuring mini (shown below for reference), this one shows off more of her hair and the patterns on her skin, so will be useful to show the others so they can see how Extra she really looks, haha. Astro's normal adventuring mini (ignore the face, did not turn out very well at all, but also I painted this a year or so ago now!):

I was going to show my group this mini today, but we're playing today's session over Skype so I just took pics instead. Couple Astrophelles, in her outfit for today's party in-game.

Today I finally finished up painting Stargazer, Larkspur's unicorn patron.
Next, I really want to paint 'Hesperos, the Evening Star'- Astrophelle's new celestial friend who takes the shape of a starry horse! But I need to get a horse mini first, and my fave local shop that 3D prints minis is closed for a while (because of Good Stuff, not covid- the couple who run it are having a kid!!)
I'll get there though. And Hesperos will be worth it!

My brother's player character, the insecure necromancer Bart, has a more popular, more talented and better-looking older brother called Chad. I started working on Chad's mini today, so here are some early progress pics of (1) Dashing Boy. Appropriately (see top left), 'go stuff yourself' is what Bart is likely to say on encountering Chad. Most of the base colours are down now.

WIP of two drow NPCs for Trash Squad's campaign ( Dungeon of the Mad Mage, which is the book in the background.) Chadd'ithae (in the blue) is the older brother of Bart'leh, my brother's necromancer PC. There's a...pretty intense rivalry here. Karaz'thalar'arganvaum of house Saiveleth (in the black and blue-grey) was the first adversary the party ever spared. I plan to bring him back in the town they fought him in, since he can't return to his former home after his Massive Failure. I'll have him helping out one of the shopkeepers or something.

Things I will start on soon/order soon/y'know Make Progress With soon:
Iridia (not to be confused with iridilith in my other game!)- a half-drow NPC from Trash Squad's game. I found the perfect mini to represent her, already in my collection! Just gotta paint it up now (it was the partner to my recent Astrophelle mini.)
Hesperos- Astrophelle's horse-shaped celestial friend! Gotta order his mini once custom orders reopen at the store I like (I have a discount coupon for a custom order too, yay!!)
Compassion, Clover and Zarg- my siblings' PCs. I gotta get their minis sorted and paint them up by Christmas. Plenty of time, but I am keen to make sure I at least have the minis in my possession soon, in case they are delayed or whatnot.

Three brave adventurers + the brave angelic horse in the background arrived in my mailbox today! After a tidy-up of the rough patches I'm gonna start with the moon elf on the left as she'll be the easiest to paint, I need to get some sneaky deets from the other two kidduns before painting too much of their figures.

Primed and started painting two of the above minis! Clover Bluejay (she/her)- my sister's first-ever D&D player character, a moon elf beastmaster ranger! At the start of the campaign, my sister described Clover as having leaf-like armour (inspired by a piece of artwork she saw in one of the books we were going through.) The closest thing to this in the HeroForge creator is this scale-mail set, and I think it's turning out really nicely! This is the same green I used for Ursh's armour. Clover is a princess who enjoys roaming the forests with her wolf friend Arrow, and whose stepbrother Compassion is one of the other two PCs I'll be painting from this campaign. Hesperos the Evening Star (he/him)- when I took the 'find steed' spell for Astrophelle, I asked my DM if the steed could have some connection to her angelic guide, or be a celestial Astrophelle had previously met. I really liked the idea of her having some connection, as opposed to this new spirit just turning up out of nowhere. From this my DM gave me Hesperos! He was sent to Astrophelle by her guide, and like Astrophelle somewhat resembles a night sky. His mane is currently silver but I plan to highlight it white and streak it with gold to give the feeling of moonlight. You can also see the green and a little of the purple near his hooves! I initially wasn't sure what to do with the longer fur on his legs, but decided to run with the curtain-like appearance and try to pattern this like an aurora. Time will tell how well it works out! I'll likely use that blurry technique my DM taught me to make it look more Hazy Sky Curtainish.

More progress on Clover: Her cape will most likely be a bright green. Hesperos, drying after I painted very watered-down gold glitter across him so it would catch in the grooves n stuff: Model is definitely a plough horse, I'm doing what I can. xD If Astro reaches level 13 she can summon a pegasus-Hesperos and I'll paint a cool new mini based on that, anyway!

Since I'm running Trash Squad at home this Friday, instead of at my friend's, I can prepare a few maps I think will come up and put them to one side! So I put these walls together with these accessories, set them to one side, and can easily grab them and place them on the grid if needed during the session. ((spoilered because I talk about stuff from Dungeon of the Mad Mage, so read no further if you plan to play the module some time!)) This is the room where the mind flayer ambassador from Skullport, Ulquess, resides in Stromkuhldur. The treasure chest is full of gold Ulquess uses for bribes, the bookshelf full of exciting tomes, and the black circle is a rug (on which there rests a table with a dragonchess set, and a pair of chairs.)
The party have previously had positive interactions with Ulquess- Phoebe addressed it with Deep Speech, while Va'kym impressed it by besting it at dragonchess. But what the party don't know is that Ulquess is implanting intellect devourers in the skulls of high-ranking goblins, with the end goal of gaining control of their town and using the goblins to keep the nearby drow away from the mind flayer's own interests.
The session will pick up with the party heading back to Stromkuhldur, to return a dagger of blindsight which had been stolen from the otherwise blind goblin chief. The hobgoblin guarding the entrance is one under Ulquess' influence, and so naturally does not want this dagger to get back to its owner. He will tell the party they have to meet with the Ambassador, as the chief and his wife are busy.
(Said wife initially sent the party to the Ambassador to begin their quest, so this shouldn't seem too strange.)
If the party go there, and there's conflict, there will be a fight involving both the mind flayer and intellect devourers, which are an extremely scary combo! And of course, if this happens, I want a nice map for it.

Shared finished Hesperos to tumblr, but apparently not here! So here's Hesperos (completed) with Clover (WIP.) He can hang out with her until Astrophelle recovers from a tragic case of Being Dead. This is not the side showcasing his cool Starlight Mane, but oh well!

Alessandra (needs a bunch of fixing-up, she currently looks really jaundiced), N'ghathrod (almost finished) and Yazdriirn (started today)- all NPCs from my Trash Squad campaign. The former is a human woman who was subjected to Va'Kym's experiments in past, and so their reunion will certainly be...awkward. She can create shadow clones of herself, based on the echo knight's ability from Explorer's Guide to Wildemount.
The second is a mind flayer pirate captain. My brother bought me the mini last Christmas. Back then I had no intention of running this campaign, but here we are, and here it is! It will be many sessions before my party meet this dude, but it's such a fun and atmospheric portion of the module, so I hope the party spend a bit of time there when they reach it. Yazdriirn is one of the two drow the party rescued last session. The other is currently a snail. Yaz will be travelling with the party as they quest to...turn his boyfriend back into a drow...after solving the Original Problem that was killing him, and which compelled them to turn him into a snail in the first place. Such drama. (Clover and the succubus I still haven't finished painting can be seen in the background.) So happy with how his cloak is turning out!!

Messy WIPs of Compassion (my kiddo stepbrother's tiefling/fey warlock, being painted as part of his Christmas gift), and Yazdriirn (drow Trash Squad NPC, not having such a great time right now, but fortunately for him the party should be able to help!)

Photo I took for my stepmother to show her my progress on Clover and Compassion. Ursh is there for comparison, to show what they should look like once I tidy the paint and decorate the base (obviously Ursh was made with a fancier printer too but shshsh, I paid like sixty dollars and then shipping for them, am NOT doing that for three different characters for Christmas.)
