Meallan has finally completed his journal entry for session two so I have updated my post. =D It can be found right here. Nice! I love his observations, he thinks so little of the rest of the party, it's glorious. xD I have updated the first post to reflect his true identity. If you want to write a bio for him at any stage, I'll link it from there as well!

"European" DND
team: Thorn - does not eat kiwi birds. COINCIDENCE?? i think not. (You might be saying, "oh... that's because thorn is from new zealand! no, it's because thorn is actually a kiwi bird masquerading as a human, get on my level.) Celestial - doesn't know how to play the bagpipe GLQ - rides moose Moni - Canadian Lite, is not an alcoholic for some reason Breakingchains - likes southern food Thundy - [Snape - Prince = Thundy] has been to WNY before Liou - from the distant land Joan of Arc is from... do they still use the fleur de lis?
anyway from my calculations, it seems like 2.5 members out of 7 are actually from Europe... I think we need a new name! but I don't think any of us are from real countries... so I think we should name our party group the Atlantis group.
editedit: and now having read thorn's journal... i feel really dumb for suggesting this lol. XD We could always name our in-game party Atlantis.

I like that name! Atlantis. I am actually pretty excited to see what the party name ends up being, if any, haha.

Session 3: a lighthearted recap
*In session 1, we covered days of in-game time! In session three, we...covered maybe eight-and-a-half hours. *Meallan goes on watch. He and Anzi have a staring contest, ft. Meallan's creepy new red-and-gold eyeshine. *Tally goes on second watch! Accuses Meallan of flirting with bandits. Meallan is not amused. *Amani takes third watch. Intimidates a prisoner with their creepy silver eyes. Creepy eyes for everyone! *Amani learns about someone called 'Crezonis.' *While the bandit knows where Crezonis will be, the DM does not. Cue awkward PM all like "uhhhhhh I PROMISE I'll work this out between sessions." *"NO MORE BIRDS!"- Anthony, obviously having some pretty intense dreams. *Anzi takes fourth watch! *Basil takes...a nap in a crate of fabrics. *Tally is a purepure soul and tries to comfort a crying prisoner. <3 *Tally also skritches Meallan's ears. BIG NO-NO. *When trying to work out why this cave is suspiciously devoid of loot, who should leap out of a box in front of the party but a wild Basil??? *"Hi guys!" *"I'm not one of these bandits!" *Khamet places his trust in Anzi, revealing his dark backstory...that he once stepped on a scarab. *Anthony clubs a bandit with his tire iron. *Meallan fries the non-Basil bandits. *Angst for everyone!

Session 3:The party takes watch as the others rest! The watch order is: Meallan, Tally, Amani, and Anzi. Anzi is awake and watching Meallan. The bandits are still tied up. There's 4 bandits; a wood elf leader, a half-elf, and two elves.
Basil has entered the place and is looting bodies. He's hiding in the first room waiting for time to slip past. He's playing it safe. Meallan doesn't notice Basil.
The bandit leader wakes up at the end of Meallan's watch. Meallan decides to handle it himself. “Good morning.” “...Good morning?” “Sorry, it seems you don't recognize me. I'm with the people who” killed yours.
“So, you're the one who's been raiding this area, have you? I found a cart not far from here that got ((destroyed?)) Curiously, one (centaur) was missing from the corpses.” “You think I know something about this?” Meallan confirms. The bandit leader is not a good liar; it's clear they know what he's talking about. Meallan tries to charm person to get him to talk. It fails. “You're gonna have to try better than that, furry critter.” Meallan's not pleased with this. “Alright. I can try harder.” He smacks him moderately. But they don't find much more info.
Anzi is pretending not to see all of this. Meallan glares at him a la “what are you gonna do about it?”. Anzi does nothing; he's intimidated by Meallan.
While Meallan and Anzi are distracted, Basil manages to sneak into the next room. Tally has been awake, and she takes the next watch. Meallan warns Tally not to mess with the bandit leader too much. Tally teases Meallan, going “alright, I won't get between the two of you~” Meallan: “=| “
Tally watches from the entrance. It's a lovely cool evening, a bit overcast, some stars ahead~ (They rolled 7 overall.) Tally just kind of minds her own business, watches the stars, stretches, and generally sorta-watches for danger. Meanwhile, Basil makes it into area 3, beyond where the party is sleeping. He investigates the boxes. There's a crate of mixed fabrics, dried fruits, etc. Basil pockets some of the herbs. Basil finds a journal and a pouch of coins with 38 silver. He looks into the journal first.
First page of journal: Contents of raided cart. About the 4 bandits who died while trying to take the cart. The leader individual changes. The one who started the journal is not the current leader. Leaders: Kysariel, Crezonis
Basil then tries to go back into area 2 for the chest. Before sneaking, he looks in. The others are sleeping except for Anzi. All the characters are between Basil and the chest. Basil manages to skirt all of them, open the chest, and get loot!
Tally goes to see the prisoners and ask if any of them want water. The bandits go “no, but thank you.” She mainly checks to see they're not about to escape. The rope still seems secure and they're not about to escape anytime soon.
Tally wakes up Amani, who's half asleep, but seems excited at the prospect of star gazing, and takes watch. First, they look around the area. Amani doesn't see Basil, they notice all 4 bandits are awake. The second one who woke up is starting to complain more loudly. They see the body of a dead bandit.
Amani interrogates the bandit 'leader', gets the name of their leader, Crezonis. The bandit doesn't know where this leader is, but knows where they will be. Amani tells this information to Anzi and Khamet; the ones awake. Khamet suggests calling the guards. Amani asks how because they're in the middle of nowhere. Khamet suggest a bird messenger. Amani is open to the idea. Khamet suggests maybe a little too loudly: “We can have an army against them!” Amani kind of ends the conversation there so they can go outside and take watch. Some creature with yellow eyes finds them there. Amani isn't afraid, and they briefly speak to each other. No incident arises.
Basil remains undetected.
The group all wakes up at 9:30am. One of the guards is crying. Tally tries to console them. Then Tally tries to pat Meallan's ears, and succeeds. Meallan is taken aback by this, and explains that touching another firbolg's ears is a very intimate gesture. Tally apologizes and backtracks.
Amani explains what they found to the rest of the group, and Khamet's idea of sending a bird messenger for a guard. It's speculated what the guards will do to the bandits.
The party opens the chest to find... nothing. The group is confused. It's speculated that maybe the treasure is in a different room. They check another area, area 3. Anzi stays behind with the bandits.
Meallan finds the diary and finds a lot of information with the power of a Nat 20! They find much the same as Basil does. It's mostly a log-type journal, of inventory and who died. There's a main set of handwriting consistent throughout. A second set is present, sometimes taking over but usually making small corrections. The writing changes halfway through, revealing a 3rd/4th set. It clarifies uncertainties and makes notes. Meallan keeps the book.
Amani wonders, they definitely took stuff from the caravan, so... where is it? Meallan suggests checking the crates, to which Amani agrees. Basil is hiding in one of the crates, though; the one with mixed fabrics!
They check the crates. Meallan checks the one with the mixed fabrics, but doesn't find Basil. The others find miscellaneous stuff like herbs and dyes. Khamet takes some herbs.
They start talking about what to do with the bandits. Do they kill them? Do they find the leader? Or do they just take this job at face value?
While they talk about this, Basil wakes up... And fails to hide. Out! Comes the half-ling~!
The group: “YOU!!” Basil: “Hi guys! ='D What's... up?” Group: “You followed us!” Basil: “Yes!” Amani: “I knew it! You're one of the bandits!” Basil: “No!”
Tally tackles Basil, but Basil manages to escape from it, barely. The party questions Basil further. Basil further denies that they're one of the bandits. Meallan searches them and finds the entire contents of the chest.
“Where did you get all this?” “From the chest!” “Wha- why do you have the contents of the chest with you?” (As opposed to in the chest.) “Uh, because I wanted it!”
It's finally clear that Basil is not one of the bandits. Basil: “I'm not one of these bandits!” Amani: “Oh, so you are a bandit!” Meallan: “They're a common low-life. =| “ Amani agrees.
Meanwhile, Khamet and Anzi are in the other room. Sometime during all this, one of the half-elf bandits shouts “OH MY GOD JUST KILL US ALREADY!” Khamet and Anzi don't.
The two start talking about their backstories. Khamet's tragic backstory is revealed! Khamet accidentally killed a scarab, it was graphic, and they felt so much guilt that they became a paladin. They plead with Anzi not to tell anyone. Anzi promises. (Bandit: “I might tell someone!” Group OOC: “Great, now we have to kill them.”)
They discuss what to do about Basil. Their skills are noted, and they note they still need to track this bandit leader. The party considers letting them join, under the condition that they don't steal, “and if he does, we kill him.”
Amani is VERY against the idea of Basil joining. Meallan and Tally try to convince them. Amani's preeetty adamant. Amani tries suggesting alternatives, like asking the birds again to find the other bandits. (Anthony from the other room: “No! No more birds!” Amani ignores them.) The others argue that Basil might be better at it. And they compromise; they'll kill Basil if he does try anything, and Tally and Meallan will protect Amani if he tries to steal from them again.
Amani ponders for a long time. Then goes: “He can never steal from me. And we kill him if he tries. And if you two fail to protect me if he steals me...” He kinda lets that hang, giving a creepy eye stare. (Which Meallan returns! Creepy eyes staring contest) Amani levels a threat to Basil: “If you try to steal from me again, I will kill you.” (Basil: “okay, I won't!”)
Meallan goes outside to put the dead bird from last session beneath a tree, and they try to find some live birds.
Then they go back and try to decide what to do with the bandits. They all debate among each other. The bandits are crying and such, and one of the bandits pleads for death. Anthony goes “okay!!” and tries to hit them with a tire iron. After missing many times, Anthony knock them unconscious. The others get onto him for this. “What? They said to kill them!” And Anthony becomes rather unpopular among the party members.
They argue among themselves, whether to kill, send them to guards, or send them to a monestary. Tally doesn't want to kill. Meallan doesn't care. Amani's pretty undecided but also pretty unsympathetic given that they killed and stole from people. One of the party members asks the bandits their purpose in life. (Amani: “Killing and stealing? >> “) One of the bandits, a half-elf, responds: “I mean, I don't know. I never really fit in anywhere.” This shuts Amani up. They argue more. Amani and some others are okay with sending them to a monestary and the like. Or sending a bird messenger for guards and then leaving the bandits for a day.
The bandit 'leader' offers a deal. Let the two others go (the two elf bandits), and they'll tell everything. The party agrees, and after checking for weapons and such, they let the elf bandits go with the clothes on their back. The other bandits hesitate, but they leave when the leader tells them to.
The bandit leader gives information. Crezonis is a centaur, "strange, but I can't really explain how", arrived 2 months ago, killed previous leader (and many think the previous leader did a better job). He tells the location of where he will be.
Anthony: “One last question. Do you want it in the face or in the chest?” Bandit mini-leader closes his eyes and goes “I don't care; do what you want.”
Anthony tries to strike, and misses. This happens multiple times. (Amani: “Kill them or don't, but do it already.” Meallan agrees to please not torture the bandits.) Meallan casts Eldritch Blast on the guy twice. Kind of trying to get in Anthony's way of doing anything. Then it's time to kill the unconscious bandit, and Anthony misses again. Meallan finally casts another Eldritch Blast to just finish the job already. The others don't participate. Basil and Tally aren't happy with this (the latter in particular). A lot of the party is just quiet. Drama~
Some of the party begins to leave. But Tally is looking very despondent. Khamet(? and/or Basil?) asks “hey, are you okay?”, but Tally's kinda quiet. Anzi comments “it's very hard to kill someone even bandits,” to which Tally sorta mutters agreement. Meallan comes back and tells her that they're bandits and that she doesn't need to be so upset, but Tally kinda moves away from them and goes to the cave entrance. She points at one of the bandit corpses and says: “If you'd met me 60 years ago, this would be me.”[/spoiler[

My PC is the one on the right. c: Here she is, with the Bae*. Just two drow girlfriends, enjoying the rainy sky. I hope you can tell under all the blotchiness and scribbliness.* "Bae" is the drow word for "significant other" in EuroAtlantis-D&D-verse, and that is canon because our DM is an enabler, thanks Thorn <3 Name: Talsindra "Tally" (she/her) Species: Drow Age: 145 Height: 4'8 Class: Monk Best abilities: Dexterity, Wisdom; Dump stat: Intelligence. I'm just here to punch things \o/ Background: entertainer-y gladiator, using martial arts for theatrical performance Facts learned so far: * running around town looking for people does not work. But parkouring around town, hoping to eventually stumble into these people, totally works! * Ranumgen let me give a rocking performance * must be nice to everyone, even the people we were dispatched to capture! * to protect the party, or to protect people from the party?? ;_; * super darkvision can lead to embarrassing secrets being discovered D: * rear guard feels more comfortable * having to keep secrets feels awful, and the secret being revealed by its owner is such a relief! * cannot resist temptation to use an improvised weapon * must free the captives that the group agreed to spare quickly, before these scary murderpeople change their minds, good grief * having to decide on other people's fates brings rather Big emotional distress. To be continued!

Hey! Ye want some worldbuilding crud you never asked for? Well, here ya go anyway! Here are three small segments from my EuroAtlantis D&D folder. VinistraA vegetation deity who believes that death taints life irrevocably. She tore her fertility-god consort in half for helping revive a hero he favored (it's all good, he's now two lesser deities- one of birth and one of death/dying.)
So uhhh...I guess just don't die, guys? Or if you do, don't ask for any favours from Vinistra's clerics. =P
DyventainDyventain (Die-VENN-tain) is a walled structure at the heart of Zaihar, and its largest structure by far. Due to its size, Dyventain is only half manipulated plantlife, with the rest being artificially constructed (like, y'know, a 'normal' building.) Here young wood elves learn to master magic with time, patience...and multiple dangerous field trips out into the woods.
You might remember this as the place the party and some hapless guards chased Basil into in session zero (Basil ran into the grounds, not the main building itself.)
Ur Zaihar, Riverside and Ur DeynThe three settlements within the regional territory of Ur. As with the other wood elven territories, Ur is used both as a prefix to denote who a settlement belongs to, and a title for the rulers themselves.
Zaihar is the capital and seat of government (where the lovely Lu'hais and Murai hang out and make decisions!) It's where the game started, and is by far the largest Ur settlement at around 10,000 permanent residents (but still smaller than Cai Shaan in the north.)
Riverside, properly but infrequently referred to as Ur Ruvarin, is a town of around 2000 permanent residents. It's by a river which is, like, why it has that name and stuff. It was once threatened by forest fire, but a now-popular folk hero helped save it.
Ur Deyn is a tiny village that can hardly even be called that. It's a new settlement, on the edge of the plains as opposed to fully within the forest as other Ur settlements are, and is still very much under construction. Basically nowheresville, but I suppose it could be a nice place for a weekend getaway from city life.
