So, anyone planning to participate? ( Info is here. Short version is it's kinda like a daily version of the Random Contest, with a window from 10a to midnight NST each day to submit.) Today's theme is trophies. I think I have a cute working concept and plan to get started soon. Any other takers? |

I think I might give it a go, depending on the theme. No promises on if I'll do anything for today as I've already got a couple things I need to get done by tonight, plus no inspiration is coming to me right now on today's prompt. However, since it's a rather small item they're asking for, maybe I can get something made later on.

I think this sounds like fun! I'm gonna try and whip something up tonight, maybe with clay. I'm not sure what my trophy will be for yet- torn between "cute Neofriend related one" and "AU where you got an onsite trophy for beating The Darkest Faerie game" but it might be fun!

It's a silly idea involving creative contests and I doubt I'll win, at least this round, but it's the only thing I could come up with and I know I won't get any other ideas.

Good news, I think I have a good idea for this round.
Bad news, I stink at landscapes and this is kind of ambitious considering that.
I'm still going to roll with it and hopefully it goes well.

Breakingchains Ey, that's a neat trophy! =D Haha, I'm digging all the faceless gradient characters, that's nostalgia right there! I didn't end up making a trophy myself, but eh, no matter! x3 Yesterday was rather busy, so hopefully I'll have more time this week *ignores the fact that this is the week I move back into a dorm and have maybe half a dozen school activities to take care of >>* And oooh, make a land? =o This I can get behind! \o/ but they already have a winter themed land, how can I add onto perfection??

... You know, I get they wanted to liven up their Social presence, but today's theme feels like something that should be a Random Contest than a quick one-day competition. Make a trophy? Alright, sure, that can be done quick and dirty. But a land? That feels like it should be given time to be made.
That said, I think we're probably going to see a lot of wild west themed worlds cause that's one of the main world themes we're missing. Hm, what other themes haven't been done? Well, Wraithland obviously. Native American land? Viking land? A skycraper filled city? Land that's on a large boat? Heck, you could probably look through video games, animations, and good ol' books for an infinite source of ideas (ooh, I know, Lovecraft land!).
Though jokes aside, there is some concerns I have with this. Like, a batch of submissions will be a western land. They'll all be different from one another, though surely they'll together cover most western tropes. So, hypothetically, what if seeing this JS then makes their own western land. If they're not careful someone could easily cry plagiarism if one idea they do is similar to one of the submissions. And if they try to be careful to not include any ideas mentioned in the submissions, they could be passing over some good/fun ideas for a feature in that world. It feels like they're opening a can of worms here.
