Be Careful Clicking Links/Images in the News!

Apparently there have been some links in the news that when clicked, may log you out and change your account password!

According to commenters, the link leads to dev.neopets, which you can check if you hover over the link. (The offending link in today's/3rd April news is the customization spotlight.)

Saw this posted on reddit and then the neoboards, and thought I should warn you guys here in case you don't frequent r/neopets or the boards. Hopefully this isn't an issue for long, but as multiple people have chimed in saying it's happened to them, better safe than sorry.

And most frustrating thing about this?

Someone had constantly been warning other players about this but TNT kept deleting their boards.

AND YET THE LINK IS STILL IN THE NEWS!

THEY KNOW ABOUT THIS YET STILL HAVE IT UP AND INSTEAD FOCUS ON BOARDS WARNING PLAYERS NOT TO CLICK ON IT!

Do we know if other site links are affected outside of the news page? I'm just paranoid about everything now.

I'm not really sure about other links, though one person on the first reddit thread mentioned it happened to them after clicking on their broken pet image. :/

And apparently this issue has cropped up before?? Like, someone said they had this problem a couple weeks ago.

Yah, it's all good right now. Presumably whatever it's doing can only change your neopets password and can't take further action to lock the account down.

Still, this is all pretty disturbing to say the least.
