As someone who occasionally has to translate rhymes and always cringes at the shoddy outcome (Shakespeare I ain't), I strongly suspect that they pinpointed the locations first and then tried to come up with rhymes to lead to them. We seem to be going fairly consistently through different worlds, anyway. And that's a fine way to get very clunky hints. I still think that the very first clue, "Hop to it, the fun has begun. You will find me where painting is done." would've been perfect for a number of Roo Island locations - I checked How to Draw, Coloring Pages and the Art Gallery before moving on to other worlds and they all would've been an a-okay fit. Whereas had they cooked up a bunch of elegant rhymes and then tried to piece them to locations that best fit them, the whole thing might fit together better. And then we might've actually gotten a negg at the giant omelette as opposed to The Movie Theatre at the End of the Universe - seriously, is there actually an onsite link left that leads to it? I remember it used to be on the main shops page but that was a more sponsor-heavy era. Meanwhile I'm semi-accidentally starting to collect wearable tables for Saura. First the one from the stealthy negg, now there's one available from the sparkly magical negg that I set my sights on. The theater, called Movie Central, is at the bottom right corner of the main Neopia Central page. Also, I'm not so sure about your idea. Come up with the rhymes first than pick a location that matches it? Unless your point is to make the hunt more challenging I can't see that going over any better because people's interpretation of poems can widely vary. There's nothing with basing the rhyme on the location, it's just that JS isn't good at making rhymes that is both subtle with its hints but also gives a clear idea where you may need to go.

Yeah, there may be a wee international problem with this year's negg hunt. I remember the Movie Central, I used to go there to watch trailers n stuff, and when the Movie Central hint came out, I dug through all of the shop pages to see where that old dinosaur went. Ideally, there'd be some sort of organic balance between making rhymes and assigning locations. Some of them have been perfectly straightforward, and then some of them could really just have been assigned to another location - it'd be easier to stick the one about 'someplace where it's night' on an actual nighttime location of which we have like two dozen than try and rewrite that.

For Movie Central, I guess it would depend on your actual location as well, as it is not showing up for me, just a blank spot right between the Neolodge, Post Office and Pharmacy. Might have something to do with the fact that the country that I set happens to be Canada, not the US.

The Movie Central comes and goes on my map. If it doesn't appear, a refresh or a few will make it show up. Not sure why it's like that, though. :/

April 10th: "Hickory dickory dock, the mouse ran to the Rock." Hmm, rock. Somewhere in Tyrannia? No. Moltara has the Obsidian. Not there either. Kreludor is one big rock... nada. *Starts checking every world to see if they have a rock; eventually gets to Mystery Island*... well, I feel stupid. Though maybe if the said Petpet instead of mouse I would have thought of it sooner...

April 11: Look for me, but don't get stressed. You'll find me where you come to jest. Grumpy Old King, next. Well, I can also see checking Dice-A-Roo too, but then Grumpy Old King should be your next stop.

Day 12: Off you go! Zoom, zoom, zoom. Search for me in a giant playroom. Well, nothing in the Games Room, and I hope they wouldn't put in on a Game's page. Checked the other pages connected to the links in the Games drop down menu on the top bar. Checked all of Roo Island. Poogle Races. Turdle Races. Okay, I'm not searching game pages so where is it...
LUTARI ISLAND?!?!?!
... Did some of these clues get mixed up? If not, what in Fyora's name does this clue have ANYTHING to do with Lutari Island?!

yeah idk don't quote me on that, that era passed me by because a whole lot of the tie-in stuff just wasn't available in Easterneuropestan for most of the site's history. And I wouldn't expect any of the newer site members to know this either. The way I usually play the negg hunt is try to guess as long as possible and search every option that comes to mind before checking a hint, wouldn't be much fun otherwise. With this negg hunt, I've taken the approach that either it's pretty straightforward (in which case yay, I get to feel accomplished) or it's so obscure that I look up a hint immediately and then won't feel bad about it cos there's no way I would've guessed anyway.

I want today's hint to be a Brick Joke. We get a really random clue nobody understands, and then some time later we get a plot or something involving the return of Lutari Island. (They've been dropping heavy hints in that direction anyway.) Then at some point there's a plot event that makes the random Negg Festival clue make perfect sense and everyone goes all "OHHHH that's what it meanrt, they had it planned all along!"

Huntress: If that was JS's thinking then they either were stretching or didn't do their homework. And even then, that would also require new players to know about Lutari Island's history which isn't really anywhere on the site. For the most part, only thing new players would know about Lutari Island without research is that it's an island surrounded by an impenetrable storm. Fraze: Hm, debating if that would be in JS's style, using a future project as a hint to a puzzle thinking it's clever foreshadowing. April 13th: This place is full of delicious eats, maybe this is where you'll find the next treat. Okay, let's go through all the food shops... and no. Hm, Soup Faerie? Nada. Time to go world by world... hey, Krawk Island has the Golden Dubloon. Nothing, but Maraqua has... KELP!

Did the 3rd NC Negg not have a bonus prize for using the dust on it all five times?

Did the 3rd NC Negg not have a bonus prize for using the dust on it all five times? According to Sunnyneo, it's a glitch. Also final prizes are out Spring Uniocto, Decorative Negg Stamp, and Topsi Inspired Negg Dress, along with the Festival of Neggs site theme (if you haven't recieved it yet)

Now that the Negg finding is over, anyone with a spare book, uh, I've got seven galaxy lipsticks to offer if you're interested? x3; I tried sending one to you directly, but your inventory is full. I don't need anything in return, I just want to help out a fellow friend.
