I know how you feel, but all I want are books from the Galaxy Negg. Got one so far, but been getting other items all other times. If you'll like I can give you one of the lipsticks I got. I also got a Stealthy Party Table from the one time I picked the Stealthy Negg. Thanks for the offer, but looking over some of the wearable previews for the Galaxy Lipstick, I realized that I... actually don't like how it looks on most of the species that I own. ^^; So I really don't know what I'd do with it other than have it collect dust in my Closet. It's just the idea though that the Neggs this year refuse to give me anything but food.  I feel your pain, the Galaxy Lipstick looks amazing (in fact, I'd wear the heck out of it in real life, wonder if it exists anywhere?) but it's complete hit-and-miss what it looks like on a given species.  A neat, sophisticated and chic accent to highlight your pet's best features, etc etc.  AGH WHAT. That's not an issue with this item in particular, mind you, all lipsticks are done on the same template. The only pet of mine who's a huge fashionista and who the Galaxy Lipstick would be perfect for is an Aisha. I would happily get her all different-colored lipsticks and vary them occasionally like the ten-year-old I secretly am at heart, except she'd invariably look like she's dressing up to scare little children. which rather goes to show that just like in real life, less is more >> |

Huntress Aw, I actually kinda like the lipstick on Aishas when they're not Zathandria or Tyrannian >> x3 Or at least, I found that it works well on one of my other Aisha, but she's also an alien into more, um, unorthodox fashion, so perhaps it just fits her personality well x3 But lol same here in that I'd get it irl in a heartbeat >> I love space design stuff anyway, and it's put this image in my head that I inevitably ended up drawing to get it out: Although in trying to get that book, I have ended up with four lipsticks total, and I have uh, only one Deuteros. Sooo now the question is: do I sell them, or keep them to continue admiring their shininess? x3

Also goes well with the colors of her dress and the sprinkling of flowers in the background, at least :3 (plus the white color makes a great versatile base in general) And lol yeah, that would be pretty nice, especially for those items that just don't seem to fit certain species, like at all x3 If I could just increase or decrease the size of an item, maybe be able to move it over a couple pixels so it could fit over a mane or those last straggling hairs.... >> But yay for it at least working with one pet \o/ And xDD Lol, well if by the end of the event you still need one or the other, I've got both on hand xD Aaand just did today's negg, got my fifth Galaxy Lipstick xD I criticized it the first time I got it, and now Topsi is never letting me forget. |

Must be the giant omelette. *goes to omelette* Nope. Well, maybe I have to actually get a piece of the omelette. Still nothing. Okay. Soup kitchen. Even though not everyone can get free food from there... That's in Neopia Central, right? No... Okay... *searches NP site for 'Soup Kitchen'* Oh, okay. Now I've got it. *goes to Soup Kitchen* Nope. March 29th/30th: "Hop to it, the fun has begun. You will find me where painting is done." Alright, this is mostly straight forward. It would either be the Rainbow Pool or, the answer, the Rainbow Fountain. March 31st: "I'm hiding in a place that can get very hot. You'll also find here a very big pot." The pot pretty much gives this one away. Most will probably head to Mystery Island first to check the Cooking Pot. Only other place is Bonju's pot, but I don't think a lot would go there first. April 1st: "This is thirsty work, time for a cool drink. Which should I order, what do you think?" I did think of the Slushie Shop first which could be one of the answer, however had it been wrong I would have probably gone to the Smoothie Shop next. Don't know if I would have gone to the Neocola Machine. April 2nd: "Where next do you need to look? Perhaps somewhere near a book." Easy, just check all the Book Shops and you'll eventually come across Moltara's. April 3rd: "Tip toe, tip toe, try to be silent. You'll find me near a big fat giant." Due to the first part you would go to Snowager first, though this is another two answer. Had it not been the Snowager I guess I would have checked Turmaculus, even though the point is to wake it up. April 4th: "A hard one now, you'll have to think. Look for a place where there is a lot of pink." I did think of Faerieland first when I read the clue so, like with the Book Shop, I would have found it by checking every place in Faerieland. April 5th: "Without many leaves to cover me, you'll find me hiding inside a tree." There's only two famous trees in Neopia, Money Tree and Brain Tree. Brain Tree has no leaves so it's the answer. April 6th: "I am hiding out of sight. find me someplace where it is night." Kreludor of course! Huh, no? Um, Virtupets Space Station? No, not there either. Moltara is underground... nope. Alright, I give up... DESERTED TOMBS? The last clue should have been something like "Find me someplace as dark as night" not saying it is night! April 7th: "Diddly-do, diddly-dee, here you'll find food for free." Omelette? No. Jelly? No. Um, the Theater gives free food... yes! I wonder if JS knew what it was once used for. |

Okay, where is it? *Checks Neoboards* Huh, I'm not the only one having problems finding it... oh, someone posted the link! THE SECOND-HAND SHOPPE?! How does the clue relate? The clue is so vague you could have it be any place! What's with the "chatter and stories"? The Second-Hand Shoppe is a Money Tree for wearables.

As someone who occasionally has to translate rhymes and always cringes at the shoddy outcome (Shakespeare I ain't), I strongly suspect that they pinpointed the locations first and then tried to come up with rhymes to lead to them. We seem to be going fairly consistently through different worlds, anyway. And that's a fine way to get very clunky hints. I still think that the very first clue, "Hop to it, the fun has begun. You will find me where painting is done." would've been perfect for a number of Roo Island locations - I checked How to Draw, Coloring Pages and the Art Gallery before moving on to other worlds and they all would've been an a-okay fit.
Whereas had they cooked up a bunch of elegant rhymes and then tried to piece them to locations that best fit them, the whole thing might fit together better. And then we might've actually gotten a negg at the giant omelette as opposed to The Movie Theatre at the End of the Universe - seriously, is there actually an onsite link left that leads to it? I remember it used to be on the main shops page but that was a more sponsor-heavy era.
Meanwhile I'm semi-accidentally starting to collect wearable tables for Saura. First the one from the stealthy negg, now there's one available from the sparkly magical negg that I set my sights on.
