I felt it would be kind of nice if we had one big thread that archived all of our primary characters. Basically, describe their backstory, personality, abilites, flaws and quirks here. I guess I'll describe my four major Neopets characters.
Sir Hunter Faelan
Species: Lupe
Color: White
Age: 23
Bio: The son of Sir Arthur Faelan, Hunter has a lot to live up to. His father was the leader of the knights before Sir Jeran Borodere, and personally mentored Sir Jeran. However, Hunter was a sickly child until he came in contact with the Orb while playing hide and seek in Meridell Castle with his adopted sister, Ashlynne. When he touched the Orb, the Three attempted to corrupt his mind; however, his heart was too pure, and he was instead healed of his illnesses. He proceeded to train to become a knight, but he was still not as good as Jeran. Hunter is a kind soul, and is humble to the point of self-deprecation, and often questions whether he's truly worthy of his family name; he has a crippling inferiority complex; not only is he struggling to live up to his father's legacy, he always seems to be second-best to Jeran. He doesn't have any ill will towards Jeran, however. Unlike Jeran, he has some skills as a mage in addition to his swordsmanship; he specializes in Light-based magic, and uses it to heal his allies. While he doesn't think of himself as a great hero, his deeds in the second Meridell War, The Darkest Faerie Crisis and The Faerie's Ruin prove otherwise.
Lady Ashlynne Faelan
Species: Aisha
Color: Purple
Age: 28
Bio: Ashlynne is a woman turn between two worlds. Her homeland is the Darigan Citadel; her parents were slaughtered by the Meridellian Knight Sir Claudus during the Theft of the Orb. However, Sir Arthur of Meridell adopted her and took her with him on a long trek to Meridell to save her from the curse of the Orb. Growing up, she believed her homeland had been left utterly destroyed by the curse; however, when she was in her mid-teens, the Darigan Citadel invaded. She chose to serve Meridell out of loyalty to her father, but she became an advocate for peace after the war. After the second Citadel War, Skarl named her his personal ambassador to the Citadel. She spends most of her time studying magick; she's a very skilled mage, and has helped mentor the younger Lisha. Ashlynne is very protective of her younger brother, Hunter. Due to the effects of the curse still reaching her in a much less-obvious way, she suffers from excessive daytime sleepiness; she tends to keep her mind busy by reading most of the time to stave off falling asleep at inopportune times. The curse also gives her an exotic appearance, with some Darigani traits such as blood red eyes and darker purple fur than usual; this has made her extremely popular with young noblemen in Meridell looking to climb their way up the social ladder. Unfortunately for them, she's not interested in men. She has a strong bond with ther Darigan Quetzal, Salazar.
Miraja
Species: Xweetok
Color: Striped
Age: 22
Bio: A young woman from a noble family in Shenkuu, Miraja was always a rebel growing up. She hated how her parents were trying to groom her into being a prim and proper lady; she wanted more out of life than just being a blushing bride. When she came of age, she was betrothed to a rather haughty nobleman. She ran away and stowed away on the Cyodrake's Gaze on one of its routine voyages to Mystery Island; she left the ship and joined the secret ninja training school. Specializing in Tessenjutsu, she learned to guide the wind with a pair of enchanted tessen, using the dancing skills she was taught growing up as a noblewoman to move more deftly. After completing her training, she became a hired mercenary and travelled Neopia hunting down criminals. One of her assignments led to her crossing paths with Hunter; the two became quick friends, as Hunter became her liasion to Meridell's knights. He'd help her out if she had a mission in Meridell. Eventually, the two fell in love with each other, and have been on many adventures together. She's a hot-headed and somewhat impulsive young woman, but she's quick as a whip and more than capable of taking care of herself.
Davey "Bones" Mortigan
Species: Krawk
Color: Brown
Age: 61
Bio: Known as "The Strongest Man on the Five Seas," Bones is a tough old geezer. Back in his youth, he was a famed monster hunter who would chase down any sea monsters menacing Krawk Island and drive them off. He later made a living off of helping Maraquan refugees find new homes on Mystery Island; he kept this secret from his friends on Krawk Island, since they were too afraid to help out Maraquans out of fear of Captain Scarblade. Bones joined the Maraquans in the Battle for Maraqua, and retired from adventuring to become a fisherman - or so he thought. Upon sailing into a Brightvale Port during The Darkest Faerie crisis, he ended up encountering Hunter, Ashlynne and Miraja. Miraja, who had heard of his deeds, convinced him to come out of retirement and join them in the battle against The Darkest Faerie; the four of them became leaders of a resistance, ferrying refugees out of Meridell and into safer areas. He's stuck with his new crew ever since. He's a grumpy old man who's very protective of his beloved ship; he and Miraja worked together to make it flight-capable, like a Shenkuuvian ship. He also gets angry if people get in the way of him having some grog.
