Almost every year during the Games Master Challenge I wait til the very last day to play any qualifying games aside for the ones required for the challenges, which always ends up being a miserable experience. This year I actually did the smart thing for once and played a bunch of non-challenge qualifying games over the past week, so I had already played 50 games before today's challenges began.

Overall, aside for a couple games (Magma Blaster and Snowbeast Snackrifice to name names), this year's GMC was pretty easy.

The prize is kind of an OP bomb. No one's asking to nerf it yet, since it isn't -quite- as powerful as the gbomb. Also getting it is kind of annoying, but those days of playing Diner Dash paid off!

Other than a few games that caused headaches for me (figuratively speaking) due to lag, it wasn't bad.

I had anticipated the 50 games one, so I prepared, and got that with my first score submit of the night. Because of that, today's was actually a lot easier than I anticipated. But there are still two check marks I won't get, because I'm just terrible at Sophie's Stew and Snowbeast Snackrifice. Like... I'm completely sick of both games now, and still can't get it. Oh well.

When it came to the 50 games, they usually count all the ones you've played already, but there's a trick to quickly getting the rest done:

I pick the games that have the quickest/easiest points and quit/submit as soon as I score any. I actually have one that was accepted with 2 points. It took about a half-hour to get the needed games, by playing two and refreshing the GMC main page until the prize showed up.

Well, I did say that you should join Team Living if you wanted the gold trophy. |D I always choose the losing team somehow.
The trophy I got is wicked cool, though. I think I like it silver instead of possibly having it in gold.

And yaaay, I got the bonus item, too. Imma sell it later.

(Also TNT can you stop nerfing your prize weapons after they come out, it's getting to the point where I know to hang onto my old weapons until sufficient time has passed)

I never manage 100% day one during the holidays, boo. However, I'm pleased with my cute little tombstone trophy, and that cow skull.

Altogether I am happy with this GMC. Prizes were pretty good, I'd say. The fire shield is a nice duel-duty, we got the usual book and stamp, and the wearable might look good on magical characters (could also do a HP customization since it looks kinda like the scene from GoF where Harry and Voldemort connect wands ;D).

I'm glad to see the return of day-of-release mattering, although I feel bad for the people who were told by other players to not worry about green vs gold. :/ Hopefully that doesn't discourage TNT from keeping that for future GMCs.
