You follow the road out of Tabloid Town farther than you've ever been before. It's getting late, and you're a bit tired, but the lure of candy from all the houses along this road is too much, and before you know it the road ends, and you're within sight of a large, low mountain.
Catching sight of some lights a little ways ahead, you decide to investigate. If, like last year, some silly soul has built a house completely away from any sort of road and yet still somehow expects trick-or-treaters, you don't want to disappoint them. You don't find a house, however. The lights do turn out to be Halloween decorations, several strings of pumpkin- and ghost-shaped lanterns draped around a low-hanging red cable car. It looks extremely strange, especially as you can't see any buildings- don't cable cars usually leave from a depot? There is a note on the door, however, so you read it:
Hey guys! This isn't quite ready yet but feel free to come check it out and get some candy! Just hit the blue button. Happy Halloween! Love, Azzie
Peering through the window into the car, you can make out a bench on either side of the car and a small raised console in the middle, which indeed consists of nothing but a large blue button.
What will you do? Hop in the car and see where it leads? Get the heck out of there? Phone Azzie and tell her off for making her trick-or-treat house in the middle of nowhere for the second year in a row? It's up to you!

The girl in the plaid vest is getting it a little tired, but seems nonetheless determined as she trots up the long, abandoned road. She inspects the car curiously, then finding nothing obviously out of the ordinary, heads over to the console and presses the button.

When you press the button, the car begins to move, slowly at first but picking up speed as it goes. Just as it starts going really quickly, however, the car starts to slow down again, and shortly stops at a rocky plateau.
When you step out of the car, you're faced with the strangest 'house' you've likely ever seen. In the middle and taking up much of the cleared-out area is what appears to be a giant nest, twenty feet across and made of piled and woven sticks. There are a few pillows tossed inside, but certainly not enough to comfort anything large enough to make this nest its home. Aside from the pillows, you can see some very small boxes in the nest, as well. Outside the nest and piled in small stacks of two or three are a number of wooden crates, each with a label on it. They're all closed, but one in particular catches your eye. For one thing, it has a grinning pumpkin on it. For another, the pumpkin is cycling through a rainbow of colors.
What would you like to investigate?

The girl ponders, chipping off a bit of her face paint that's starting to flake. Then she hops into the nest, grabs a small box, and plops down cross-legged on one of the pillows.

A hooded figure throws itself into the car upon investigation, pondering if this was an amusement ride. Well, all the better. They press the button to start the ride.
((This next part assumes I get the same results Shinko did; if that's not the case, ignore this and I'll delete the latter part later!))
They start to feel a bit anxious as it picks up speed, but then it stops. Hmm, not like the general amusement park rides; this was clearly for transportation purposes. They get off the ride and look through the giant nest... They hoped they weren't sticking around to be eaten by some giant bird, but they got a feeling that that wasn't the case. They stare at the boxes, particularly at the pumpkin cycling through a rainbow of colors. They stare, transfixed; that was so cool. They wonder what's inside...? Tentatively, they open the box if possible.
